Went for my interview this morning at the vet.'s office, it went very well. They want me to come back tomorrow to observe for the day and see how I fit in with the flow of things. :) :) It's supposed to be pretty busy tomorrow so I hope I just don't stand around or get in the way.

They said I might be able to take the test to be liscensed but I'm not sure because of the course differences in my degrees, but it's worth a shot. Or take some more classes to become certified. Only problem is they are all day classes and there's not a college close to here that has them. Then I'd probably be at a higher pay scale and be able to do more things, legally.

I'm real excited and anxious about it all so I had to share!

Thanks y'all! I'll be more sure of things after tomorrow though. This has been a long time coming that's for sure, I graduated college 2 years ago, and have been through a few interviews I thought were promising before. I feel like I've finally got my foot in the door towards my career. I say that because there is a big difference to me between a job and a career, know what I mean? ;)

I'm so excited and grateful

I Got The Job!!!!!! :) :D :D

I start on Jan. 17th. So I've got some time to get al my things together and settle some things. John hasn't applied to any jobs yet but he is planning on moving up here as soon as possible. They said they might be able to help him find a job too because they have some connections with graphics and printing.

I saw just about everything today; amputation, spay, declaw, skin infection, tapeworm infestation, feline aids, feline leukimia, nail trim on crazy dogs (I got my arm scratched good), a hamster with an eye infection, a sick bearded dragon, and sadly a euthansia of a cat.

Oh, congrats! That's so wonderful.

I never had the stomach for the vet clinic.

Just saw that you're IN !!!!! Great !!! I would love to work with the poor babies ! Bet you'll have good stories..... my vets would always be happy to see my Goldens trot in smiling when having a stressful day. One I have now would just lay on the floor next to Bubba, hug him and say " Can I just hug you for a moment ! "...she's so nice. ( She loves Chippy too!) When I took Yogi in to help him over the bridge... we were both in tears, she hugged him and asked if she could clip off a sweet curl he had, that she loved. Caring, caring clinic.

Thanks everybody, I truly appreciate it! ;) This helps give me some more confidence. Yeah Bubbatd that's one big plus is that we have the best patients and get to love on them. :) The clinic seems like a great group, they all showed me how to do things in a nice way, or told me to come look at something interesting and explain it to me.

I'm back in Tifton now. But it was literally "hail" getting here! Bad bad weather in the south today, heavy rain, wind, tornado watches and warnigs. I drove through hail twice on the interstate! Once I pulled over because I thought my windshield was going to break

That's great! I am so happy for you, I hope you enjoy it, I know the clients will love you, you have such a huge heart, and more vet. offices need that. You will truly make a difference to each and every one of those animals and their guardians. Let us know some updates!

Thanks Amy. =) I think I'm going to love it. It's the first few days or weeks at a new job I always feel awkward and tend to over analyze everything I do or don't do, which causes me to not be as social as I want to be but in this setting it's kind of forced to be a good communicator, so I may not even have time to think about it!
