Anya caught the bus. I won't go into my meltdown in 6 lanes of backed up traffic, on the wrong highway, because no one wants to know I promise. Fortunately I was only 20 minutes late, which for me being lost, is a record. WHen I called to tell them i was completely turned around (the gps I was sent stopped working quite some time ago) the lady said Frosty was still loading up so there was still time. THat was BEFORE I got in the backed up crawling traffic. one major panic attack later, she was put in the crate in the front, with her travel sack. I got back to the truck, Ressie crawled in my lap and I instantly felt better. WE were going to go on to Animal Control with a stool sample of Ressie's because I still do not think things are quite right, and to get her microchip but I had had all I could take. I headed for Gg's so I could borrow enough to get home. It's the end of the month, and I just didnt' know this was all going to happen. Ressie had a lovely lovely lovely visit with my Mom. SHe sat in her lap, for a half hour playing with her buttons on her dress and sweater, tasting the cheerios Mom tried to give her from her breakfast, playing her footsie game. We went into the bedroom where she stretched out on a pillow and acted like this was all the most normal event, like we do this all the time. SHe walked on her leash back to the truck and when I opened the door she stood on her little hind legs with her feet on the edge to be lifted up, stepped over to her seat, washed her paw paws and stretched out for a nap. I cannot put into words how amazed i am about her. It sure makes me think this therapy thing is exactly the right thing for her to be doing.
So let me know Zoom if everything works out on the other end. One kitten left to go. Oh was he a cry baby when we got home. He does not like being left all alone in Hyia's room.
In the future I am not going to do this transfer drive a half hour or more in one direction to places I have never been. I will bottle feed, and train, and drive them to Zona Rosa, or the shelter, but that is where I have to stop. This was just too hard and I am not in a position to be able to handle it if things go wrong. As GG says, your home now, so put it behind you. Amen Home is a wonderful place to be. Traffic just scares me to pieces anymore.
ON the way there they stayed in each other's arms.
At the gas station on the way home, Ressie is comfortable on her seat.
SHe says Cheerios are not tasty but thank you anyway for sharing.
Playing the footsie game. GG does not like her pic taken, and that's ok. I told her I would only have her hands in the photo and she was fine with that.
She likes her Sponsor very much!
SHe even liked Mr. Shaffer. Soon as he hears my camera beep he closes his eyes so I can't get a good pic of him unless we are outside and I am lucky that he is distracted.
WE came home, she walked down the sidewalk to the door, I took off her harness, she used her potty (i will have to make her a portipotty for the back of the truck) we tried to use the grass at Gg's but the neighbor's Chi woudlnt' stop barking at us.
Just now. Ressie makes everyone feel better.
