chugalug, I love my dogs very much. Just as much as life itself, if not more than life. They are my babies. I am 15 years old, and they are the first thing I ever learned to truly love and care for with all that I have. My whole reason for being on this earth is to be a good mommy to them. They were my first friends(I did not grow up with a normal life and normal family. I wasn't quite as fortunate as others) and they were my only true friends that I would risk my life to save

Maybe in your eyes that makes me an extremist,.. But, not to be rude, that doesn't matter to me. What does matter is that I love my dogs. They make me happy. They make me be a better person. They've taught me so much, including love, patience, and passion. I'm not like other disrespectful teen girls out there being promiscuous, nor am I as ignorant and childish as most teens my age now-a-days. ALL because of my dogs.

Maybe you've never experienced that kind of love with a dog, but I at least hope that you have in other aspects of your life.. And if you have, I'd only hope that you can understand why I love my dogs.

With that said, my dogs DO NOT spend their days locked up in a crate. My mom stays home all day. They get attention from her, and we have a huge fenced in back yard with a doggy door. They are free to come and go as they please. They love to be near us, and we usually don't mind taking them out multiple times a day to go outside and play with them anyway.

Now, are my dogs spayed and nuetered? All of them but one(soon to be two--getting a new show quality dog). Why? Almost all of my dogs have some kind of health problem, and ALL of them have come from bad breeders. I've got a dog with seizures, two that gets ear infections very easily, one with Cancer and ulcers, and one with behavioral issues(due to being bred by puppy millers). Because they have come from bad breeders that did not health test it would be VERY irresponsible to let them reproduce to only produce more dogs with health problems that will eventually cost the owners hundreds of dollars. I also do it for my dogs' own health. Since my epileptic dog has been spayed, I know that she can't have puppies. Because she has seizures, she could go into one during labor, the puppies could die, and she could as well. Spaying her was the ONLY responsible thing to do. Nuetering our male with behavioral problems was the ONLY responsible thing to do. (Too bad it was AFTER he already had some litters--and yes, he did pass his aggressive tendencies to his puppies.)

Is looking out for your dogs, and the future generation of dogs, really such a horrible thing to do? I HATE that my babies are sick(seizures, and my sister's dog has cancer/ulcers), and I would NEVER wish the pain I feel for them onto other dog owners. And THAT(along with my own dogs' well being) is the reason my dogs are spayed/nuetered.

I'm not going to attack you for not being able to open your heart for your dog like I do for mine, I will only feel like an extremely young lady who is able to experience that love, and will always be forever grateful. :)

Hey, don't call nedim ugly. That's unnecessary. Nedim is 'opasna' and that means dangerous.

Please go ahead. It's not like I got any value from it, just inadvertantly discovered a terrible darkside to dog ownership.

Well, if I had that power, believe me I would. The best I can do is pm a mod about it and wait.

chill there, buddy. I dont think anyone is getting banned here. You guys just had a disagreement, not uncommon at all on the forum.

I want you guys to see though, that arguing is worthless, escpecially via internet. We're not here to push each other into making a decision. Were here to offer advice and lay out all the options for you, aiding you in your decision. Make sense?

This is the attitude that is frustrating for us at this forum. You came here for advice, yet you say none of the advice provided is not any value to you. Why ask for help, when you will not listen to others advice and opinions? That is something I have never and will never understand. :(

I will admit that people did jump to conclusions and many people automatically replied with opinions that the dog needs a family to love him. (ie: rehoming him) BUT, that does not excuse the fact that you were rude throughout this entire thread. (The way I see it is that if you are drunk driving and kill another person, saying you are drunk is no excuse. If you are in a forum and name calling, the fact that others might have been a bit rude first is no excuse.)

(This was not meant to sound as an attack, nor be taken as an attack. It is merely my feelings towards that comment, and I was not angry when posting.--just to be totally clear;))

I can understand your anger at this point. But if I may, I would like to say that disputes on a forum should not be taken seriously. I know its hard and I know that noone likes to be judged or offended in any sense,(Im speaking from experience) but you can always block a certain user if you dont get along. Just dont let one minute thing get you so down.

tessa_s212, I know you're a good girl, you are don't sleep around with guys, you love your dogs and that you are a mature 15 year old.

Being mature for your age, I know you will understand when I tell you that when I made that post, I was upset and I didn't mean to say what I said. I have gotten alot of value from a small minority of posters.

I don't know how to say this without it coming across as mean. You seem to believe that you and many others came and gave me advice. That is nonsense. All that you and your fellow doggies extremists did, was to use this thread, not to post advice, but to pound your views. And you keep doing it.

Over the last few days, I've heard so many views of people like yourself when all I asked for advice. Sadly, the only advice I got was to get rid of my dog. I mean, how stupid is that to come here, read what's on one page and post that rubbish.

In my time here, I have gained a deep insight into how doggie extremists think and I think it is consistent with any type of fanatacism. I don't regret coming here though and my relationship with my dog has greatly benefited from the experience. That is all that I wanted and I guess that's an achievement.

In America, were not considered doggie extremists, chugalug. Just as in Australia, youre not considered "less than" a good dog owner. I think a major reason we have had such a struggle in this thread is due to the different traditional ways each of our cultures keeps their pets. Theres not much more to be said, really. Noones going to change anyones mind about their dogs over the internet. I think what would be best for the forum as a whole would be to drop this thread and wait until one of the mods closes it. I have already contacted a moderator requesting a lock on the thread.
