Miss Molly has suddenly decided that housebreaking has become optional. She'll just go from playing to peeing in half a second, no sniffing, no signals...she's almost a year old. She knows to go outside, I keep her tethered most of the time when she's with me or I keep the patio door open so she can just go out there, which she's usually pretty good at. But tonight, we just came in the apartment from doing some training and while I set my keys down, she just nonchalantly squatted and peed right next to me!! And it's peeing, not dribbling, not submissive urination...
We've had her checked for a UTI this week already, which came back clear, she goes out every couple of hours anyway and we make sure she pees outside and praise her for it, etc, all the normal stuff. But in the past couple weeks it's like she's suddenly decided that holding it is optional. She's crate-trained and keeps a clean crate during the day. Does this sound like an incontinence issue? Should we ask the vet about Proin? Or is it still a training issue? She doesn't have an issue going outside, she loves the cold...it's just like she quit caring.
