high protein food bad for lazy dogs?

My dogs are lazy and I was just reading that high protein food is bad for non active dogs. I have them on Orijen now and they are doing good on it but my dogs are not very active. Could this hurt them? Should I switch to something else? They were on Innova until I switched them to Orijen last month.

High protein is the best for any dog. Just keep an eye on their build and adjust amounts of food based on that. More exercise would be great.

Dogs are built to process protein. I would just up their activity levels if I were you.

I think it depends on what kind of protein. Plant based protein MAY ... animal based protein, no, never. I'm not 100% sure about the plant based stuff.
