Hey folks. I am very glad to be here. I absolutely love dogs and I am a forum junky. However, it was very hard to find a good dog forum that wasn't breed specific. I was happy to stumble acrossed this one.
Anyway... Back in June my beloved Husky (4-years-old) died from extreme seizures. A few months later my wife and I decided to get another dog. We looked into Geman Shepherds and Huskies (again). In the end after reading about all of the possible health risks that (some, specifically these two) breeds have, I decided to get some sort of mix. I have always liked Smooth Fox Terriers but wanted something a little bigger. So I found a farmer that had Austrian Pinscher/Terrier Mix pups. We picked up Cody when he was 10 weeks old. He is now 8 months old, measures 23" at the top of his head and weighs about 30 pounds. So far he has been GREAT. Easy to train and a REMARKABLE watchdog!
