Depending on how young it is...
Put it in a box with some warm towels (shoebox).
Put it in a high place, but out of sight from crows etc.
Watch for as long as possible to see if the parent will feed it. If not, call your local wildlife rescue for more information.

Good luck!

How's the bird doing? Do you know what kind it is? I've rescued several but they were all too young and ended up dying. I hope you have better luck!

I hope you're able to save it! I found a baby bird 2 days ago over by the dogs. I tried finding the nest, but it was wayyy out of reach. So I moved it away from the dogs about 10 feet. I think the poor thing is dead now....It probably wouldnt have made it thru winter migration anyway. Just barely had its adult feathers. Poor thing.

You've gotten great advise. Many fledgelings will ground and find a hiding spot and their parents will continue to feed and encourage flight from there. I work with our wildlife rescue and we do take in baby birds who's parents don't return to them. Make sure that the parents are feeding, often. Babies like this don't last long if alone as they need to be fed alot in order to survive. If you don't see the parents within an hours span, call your local wildlife rescue. Good Luck, I'll bet it's a cute baby.

you have to warm it up first..put it in a small container and drape a cloth over the top to keep the bird quiet..then get a small lap with a low wattage bulb and place over the small container monitoring the temp to make sure it doesn't get too hot..you can cover a cage and put a low wattage..25 50 is a bit much beside it as well. The important thing is to warm them up quickly, and keep them warm until they regain their strength or else they are very susceptable to respitory infections.
