We just joined in to the list and want to introduce ourselves.
I am Mandi, and Cassie is my girl dobie. She will be 6 in a few months.
This is my third Doberman and fell in love with the breed in 1975.
Many of you with Dobermans know about the 3 C's.
My first had CM. My second, Osteosarcoma. And now, sadly this little love of a girl has just been diagnosed with Wobblers.
She is being so good. We have her very restricted right now. WE always loved playing ball and taking our walks.
We live in "sunny" Calif. LOL. Not so lately. Lots of rain, but the lawns are beautiful:)
My hobbies are my pets. Giving them the best care available and snuggling.
I also have 3 parrots. One is an Af. Gray, so it's always a laugh around here.
He tells Cassie to go outside, and all her commands, which we did in German.
So if you don't think that's a hoot:)

Hello and welcome from a fellow dobe fan :) So sorry to hear all that you have been through with your kids. Can't wait to see more pics!

This is Lexus my Black/rust 2 year old female... We had just went to the river in the first pic. Her ultimate favorite place, she whines until I skip stones for her to chase in the water. I think she may be part Newfie with her water activities!

Hey there! Welcome to Chaz! I am fairly new myself and I know that it can be a bit confusing learning the "ropes" around here. I still found it hard even though I've posted on forums with the same format for years! Anyways, enough rambling, I hope you decide to stick around and share pictures of your Dobies. Feel free to pm me if you need help with anything.

Moco and Emma (Can be seen in my signature below) send their greetings as well!

We had just went to the river in the first pic.
All my dobes love the river. Not crazy about the ocean. They too, enjoyed the rock throwing. One would stand in the river and dive for large rocks with her nose bubbling and bring them up to us. :)
Aren't dogs great? :)
How old is your dobe.?

Thank U all.

I want to thank all of you that welcomed Cassie and I to Chaz.
I'm sure I haven't done the posting correctly yet, but if not, any instructions are always welcome.
I am loving seeing all of your wonderful dogs. I can see love and wonderful personalities in all of them

She's turned two this January. She loves chasing the rocks and biting the water, it's too cute! :D

Welcome! I'm aware of those three C's that plague our glorious, magical, one-in-a-million breed.

I'm on a Dobe board where we've lost dogs in the recent weeks to all three. :( One of cancer, one of cardio, and one with CVI that died of cardio. I feel your pain, and I hope agains thope that mine won't succumb to the C's.

What options have you thought about for the CVI? From the other board, I know that gold bead implants are usually wonderful option.

We have considered all the options. Gold bead implants are only done by a very few chiro docs. I am not sure about it, honestly. It seems a very long treatment and I would not be sure that it's the right thing to do for the long term.
Our neuro surgeons don't really care for it, (of course).
We had our e-val this morning, and she has improved with the pred. Thankfully she is not in pain and not scuffing her rear feet now.
So we will continue the pred path every other day for the next 2 weeks and then hopefully have her stabalized.
It's a shame there isn't a cure for this disease, and unfortunately, no known real cause of it.
Good luck with your dobe. How old?
Thanks for the post from one dobe lover to another ;)
