I was an active poster on chaz several years ago.
I'm sad to report that my first dog, Milo, passed away at the age of 10 after a brief and painful fight with bone marrow cancer.
Here is a thread I started back in 2007 that shows him with McGee -- then a rescue puppy, now nearly 5 years old. We're both terribly lonely and miss Milo very much.
I am considering how to move forward from this loss and help McGee and me get through our grief. I came back to chaz to seek the advice of you good people as needed. I've never lost a dog before so it's all new territory for me.
As a sidenote, McGee and I are currently working on "click to calm" techniques since she gets nervous around people she doesn't know.
I learn so much when I am here and am thankful to be back.
