alright, so i suck at identifying breeds...but i have this dog calendar, with a new doggy pic everyday, and it says a stupid little quote (they really are the dumbest comments ever, LOL) about the pic...

so this one day, i look at the pic, and see that the quote is implying it is a greyhound...but i really dont think it is...

is there an easy way to identify whether or not the dog is a greyhound or a white doberman? The pic is only of the face...

anyways, i just wanted to know if i was right, or totally wrong, lol

(Please don't take this photo, it's not mine. I got it from another forum I'm a member of.)

Are you talking about this one?

That's definetly a Doberman, not a greyhound.

I think it's a greyhound. Look at the ears. Don't dobies have much longer natural ears?

Not necessarily. I have seen dobies with long droppy ears, some that stick out a little like greyhounds and some that are very small and triangular.

That's definitely not a Greyhound head. Greyhound's mussel are a lot more narrow with round shape eyes and ears set higher on top of the head.

If they didn't have other bad representations of breeds they may have wanted to use the pic cuz it is cute, but still not want to show bad breeding so they jsut called it a greyhound.

the calendar is not of purebreds at all, nor does it indicate that it is...just dog pics. A lot of the pics are mutts...

the quote says "Greyhounds are swift runners that enjoy sleeping an average of 18 hours a day. They are affectionately known as '40-mph couch potatoes."

All the other quotes that said the breed seemed to be accurate, so its not like they are putting random quotes...they picked them to actually fit the pic. They arent even quotes...they are just dumbass statements. That one was one of the best, LOL. Half of them are like "dogs have ears. They can hear stuff" or pointless crap like that. So these people arent trying to show good breeding...and they have had a few pitts and rotts, so its not they are avoiding "evil" (lol) dogs...

i think its just supposed to be a calendar of cute pics :p
