Hi y'all! I just joined yesterday and spent a few minutes in chat last night. Seems to be a fairly friendly pack so I thought I'd introduce myself and my muttlies. Some of you may recognize me from another forum. I've seen a few names floating around that I remember.

I'm Gena, the leash-n-treat dispenser. My pups are Priss and Pedro. Priss is a 13 year old terrier mix. Pedro is an almost-1-year-old min pin mix, but looks and acts 100% min pin. They share me with 2 cranky old cats who mostly live in the dog-free kitchen.

I'm currently working very hard with Pedro on being a good doggy. He's been a challenge in recent months. I'm also going upstream a little since I've changed "philosophies" a few weeks ago. We took a training class back in March that relied on prong collars for all dogs. I'll admit, they do work, but *I* just wasn't feeling happy and loving while using the methods. Retraining both of us has been interesting to say the least LOL! He is smarter than I am I think! I'm hoping to be able to pick up some tips and get encouragement here with all of that.

I also help my mom and stepdad with their work in Pyr rescue and social therapy/ministry. They have 5 personal dogs-2 Pyrs, 1 Lab mix, 1 CKCS, 1 Saint, 1 in foster sancutary-Pyr (I call it foster failure LOL!), 1 in foster-Pyr and 1 Lab mix that might be foster, might be forever.

Ok, novel over...on to the picture! This is everyone except the foster Pyr and maybe forever Lab mix...they weren't around when I took this one. Left to right. On the couch, Patches and Maggie. On the floor, Heidi, Scamper, Taffy, Pedro (my min pin), Woody and Priss (my terrier mix).

And one of Pedro showing how much he likes "sit stay"

Hi and welcome. That i ome picture I can figure out how you got them all to sit so nice for it. I can totally relate to your parent I have been a foter failure many times over I don't ever feel bad about it I mean you can't succeed at everything you do ...right?!
I look forward to getting to know you and your puppers.

ROFL DaVinci...we knew we had ONE shot. The power of a box of Milkbones is amazing ;) The foster "failure" is the one attempting escape from the couch. She came to them weighing 40lbs! A 40lb Pyr who was scared of everyone and everything, including food bowls :( She's now a chubby 90lbs who was bugging a stranger at the vet office for pets last week. A long long road, but totally worth it in moments like that.

I applaud the fact you got them to sit and almost all look! lol. I have tried with my 11...it doesn't work! lol

I must say, I absolutely LOVE that Saint Bernard! I would love one someday, but I wouldn't make it live in this hot city!

I just love it when I see dogs and dog's photos. Oh, how I wish I can do that too. I mean, gather all my dogs for a picture taking. Uhhh, Frustrated to do that, my dogs will hate that idea. I will try my best to upload some pics of them in this forum so guys will be able to see 'em. Wish me luck.:D
