We finally got to pick Kharma up Sunday. I took Shiva's stitches from her little mishap out Saturday and we went to get Kharma Sunday. She's out of a half sister to our first Fila, Buffy (same mother, different father), bred to Gamble, who was Buffy's father.
Her bloodlines are already showing rather dramatically.
She's full of Fila attitude already at 9 weeks. She's barking at any of the cows if they get closer to the fence than she deems appropriate, advances on strange noises or voices, refuses to exhibit any submissive puppy behaviour to either of the big dogs, although she does accord Bimmer a great deal of respect, and has "marked" the entire front yard.
Shiva adores her; she shares her food, milk, toys and generally dotes on her, letting Kharma tug and harrass her to her little heart's content. Shiva's one of the sweetest natured dogs I've ever been around and I think she'll make an excellent mother someday.
Bimmer is doing his usual stand back and watch for a few days.
I'll be burning rolls and rolls of film in the next few months!
