My mom had her gallbladder out 2 weeks ago. She said that it is a really easy surgery :)

I'm glad to hear that everything went well!

Oh yes....about 10 years ago. I had been having flare ups with excruciating pain & vomiting. I finally was admitted to the hospital for a few days and then had surgery a week after that. It wasn't bad at all. I had surgery in the early afternoon and was out that evening. Recovery time was a week at the most. You'll feel so much better!! ((((HUGS))))

Yua; It was a tough time but now all is good. Thankyou all for the well wishes! Nothing like freaking out! Something I do well! Oh yea I meant Scar!

Sasha has been in a tither, being with my mom and stuff I hope she gets over it! She's just so happy to be home, won't leave my side what so ever! Something I am not used to. But will accept!

I had my gallbladder removed in the summer of 2005. BEST decision I ever made! I was in so much pain for a really, really long time and having it removed has been heaven. I had horrifically large gall stones :yikes: I was scared to have the surgery, but have had absolutley no complications and am so happy I went through with it.

Good luck!

^^^ same here !!! I didn't want to make the appointment and kept putting it off .....never a good time as hubby wasn't well and I was " needed " . Finally when surgeon's office called for a date , I wasn't home and HE made it !! Sure was worth a few days of discomfort and only 3 tiny holes to show for it ! Was great to enjoy gravy again ...but oddly enough , I still have no desire for spaghetti !

I had mine removed a few years ago. It didnt give me any options or time to think it over. It was a cake walk as far as surgeries go. For a couple years after, I would get pain in the same spot if I went for long periods of time without food. Since going without food is entirely too rare for me, I didnt feel the pain often. If you start feeling similar pain eat an apple or something and it goes away.

At this time I am eating Oat meal and mushie foods. I can't wait till I have a normal meal!!!!!!!!!!! Spaghetti ( spelting directed from Joe my Italian mentor) is my fav food so I hope I can eat that! The best thing about this is I lost 15lbs other than that it's nothing more than a pain in the you know what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
