Wclady-My point exactly! There is HIGH chance that she could end up being our president. So really, the person who said "I'm not voting for Palin, I am voting for McCain"..really, you ARE voting for Palin as well, because she COULD be our President if McCain died (And I am NOT saying ALL old people die at a certain age, that is ridiculous..)

I hope people who are voting for McCain just realize that there's a possibility (probability?) that Palin COULD be president at some point in the next 4 years.
there is a possibility that any VP will be President... why do you think we have a VP? Its not just to break a tie vote.

There is a possibility that Obama will have a heart attack... there are plenty of stories of 47 year old healthy men having massive heart attacks and dying.
Then Bidens poor health will lead to his death and you know who is president then... uh oh... now that would be BAD.

This is an insane slippery slope argument OBVIOUSLY.

The point is any president could die without a moments notice... that does not mean that there is a greater likelihood that McCain is going to die.

I half expected someone to bring up the point that Obama could just as easily die. In fact, he probably has just as high a probability as McCain. Who knows if he could be assassinated? But Biden isn't quite as evil as Palin, IMO.

I can't wait for this election to be over. I'm sooo sick of reading about how each candidate sucks but the other is soooo much better (which goes for both McCain and Obama).
Is it Wednesday yet?
What I can't wait for is for the citizens to quit crying and take their country back.

Can we all just agree that both suck and just disregard this election entirely? A trained chimp could probably do a better job and make more folk happy.
**writes in "trained chimp"

And I am shocked any canine lover could vote for Palin considering she kills wolves for fun.
And Obama has fully supported the HSUS and AR agenda.

My pet dog is more qualified to run a country than Palin.
My pet dog is running for President ~ vote for Morgan!! She promises a National Nap Time and full federal aide for hot dog vendors. :p

I know you didnt say this but I just dont want anyone else to think it.

I just want it to be clear that I was not alluding to him being KILLED... I think it is sick that people even talk about that. I do not want him to be elected... but never ever would I want him to get killed... do I think he will make a good president? No. Do I think he deserves to die? No again.

That is the thing that makes me so mad about politics. I dont like all the people running for office but none of them deserve to die. You dont have to agree with their policies or viewpoints but it is quite another to call them "dumb" and "evil" or talk about them dying.

They are ALL very smart people to have gotten where they are.

I can't wait for this to be over. I don't envy any of you for the decision that you have to make OR the options that you have to choose from.

I've been following this as closely as if it were my own country and an election that I had a say in and on both sides there are some very serious considerations that still pull away from each. If I had to vote right now, it would be an awfully difficult decision, one I'd make while holding my breath....maybe even with a coin.:yikes:

Believe me, I don't think for a second that we have it any easier when it's our turn to trudge through the muck....

Good Luck!:)

Did I say I wanted McCain to die? NO. I don't want anyone to die. I was stating the possibility of it happening (And it IS high, much higher than Obamas). I DO think Palin is evil. That is just my opinion. Do I think she should die? No. I just don't want her anywhere near the white house.

wow I really really hope you dont have grandparents.

ALL of my grandparents are older than McCain and I fully expect to see them around in 4 years.
Agreed.

For crying out loud McCains MOTHER is 95 years "old" so he must have some decent genes.

So does that mean Grammy isn't going to last the next four years just because she's over 70? (sorry to use you as an example in this way Grammy... I love ya) What a horrible outlook

My grandfather has had two serious heart attacks... and we just celebrated his 90th birthday. Him and my 85 year old grandmother still live on their own, do their own shopping, their own driving, their own chores and errands. If I make it to 90 I hope I am HALF as well off as they are

I was saying NOTHING about ALL elderly people dying. The subject is MCcain, Someone who could be running this country!! And the point that Palin would be president if he died. Nothing more.

For Christ sakes, I work in a freaking nursing home. I work with elderly people almost EVERYDAY! So now Punkygirl hates old people? lol *Sigh*

I would just like to add, in terms of McCain dying bc he's old.

My gramps is now 87. The man swims 2 miles a day, he mows his own lawnS(yes 2 yards for 2 seperate housed, and both of them are HUGE), he also does all the repairs on his car himself(I guess that's one of the drawbacks of being an engineer your whole life?).

just bc someone is old doesn't mean they're going to croak right away.

Now, I didn't vote him him(3rd party for me), but I wouldn't not vote for him bc "he's old so he'll prob die."

In terms of Palin being president if he died, yes she would be. But I would hate to think that when people vote they're not voting for the whole ticket.

Personally, I think we should go back to the first few elections... whoever comes in 2nd gets to be VP... that would be fun! :lol-sign:

on that note... my Uncle just passed away a couple months ago at the age of 53. he was healthy as a horse, rode his bike everyday, played sports, ate healthy food etc etc. One day he came home from his bike ride and died instantly :(

It can happen to anyone at any time I guess :(

I know of 2 people around my age (one was 20 and one was 25) who both died this past weekend in car accidents.... :(

I know of another person who died last week at 43. She was at work, walking down the hall between offices, and had a stroke and died right there....

it really sucks. :( :(

Thanks folks !!! At 75+ I feel like 50 . My cousin will be 89 and is like a 60 year old ! McCain is tough ~ Look at his campaign trips ! My fear is that Obama and Biden are both killed ! Look who we might have take over ! I personally am very afraid for them as I feel that he will win . We'll know tomorrow who our National Leader will be and we'd better bless him and support him !!! With Indiana being a swing State , we're STILL being bombarded with negative ads .!
