So I just heard back from one of the breeders I am interested in, actually I heard back from both.
The first breeder who I would have gotten a black from most likely, bred her dogs but they only had one black male, she was dissapointed but happy it was healthy. It isn't what I want (I want a female) and I imagine she had someone else lined up if she wasn't gonna keep it.
The other breeder just bred her dogs and they are due around christmas! which means they will be ready around March-ish instead of July! I am meeting this breeder this weekend at the dog show near me so I will get to see her and her dogs more closely! I am so excited!! If I geta dog from her (after meeting her and her dogs I will have a better idea) it will be a white as she does whites, blues, and silvers.
Yay So excited!!! I hope she and her dogs are as good as they seem on the website!

fun fun! I used to be a fan of white, but ever since I met some good quality blues I've been hooked!

YES, this is a blue - she's my friend's dog, her name is Lizzie. Her breeder is known for her amazing blues, and she's where I'll be getting my standard poodle from when the time comes for me to get a standard!

Thanks guys. Ya I am not a huge fan of the blues. I like them but I like the blacks and whites better, but I love contrast and crispness, if that makes sense.
I can deffinately see that being a young blue, they start out very dark.

Ahh, but even her older, mature blues don't get much lighter than that - they are truly amazing dogs!

I feel so dumb...... The St. Poodle thread title had me convinced (and rather shocked) that you were ordering a new oodle designer combo I had not heard of yet.....Saint Bernard/Poodles. I even examined Sizzledog's photo.....did not see much Saint Bernard in it.

I am not really against oodle mixes....but Saint Bernards may be taking it to far.

Good Luck with your new standard when it arrives..more coffee needed.

Thanks guys. I have to quickly get my money together now. I just started my business 2.5 months ago and am still quite poor (thought the christmas rush will help) But the puppy will cost 1200 (500 of that is the deposit at the beginning) and I have to neuter my boy Styder, don't know how much that is gonna cost but probably upwards 300-400 ish. so I have to quickly get 1600 dollars! yipes, not to mention supplies for a larger dog, though I get that stuff cheaper cause I order is straight from a supplier of retail stores so get everthing at cost (no mark ups) Wish me luck on getting the money together!

so I just checked and Stryder's neuter will only be 220 ish so that's good. That's means I only need about 1400. Which is still alot but I think attainable within 3 ish months (tho I will need the deposit sooner. I am asking for money for christmas instead of presents to go towards the dog, my b-day is also in january so I will ask for money there too)

As much as I would like to see you get the dog quickly, you are doing the right thing to get Stryder fixed up first. Glad it will not cost too much.

BTW..St. Bernard Poodles DO exist....they are called St. Berdoodles (although I think St. Bernoodles sounds better).

They look just as scary as you might guess:

I imagine they were hoping for a clever St. Bernard that doesn't shed...but he looks to me more like Santa Claus, with a hang-over and a bad perm.....I am sure he is very sweet.

sigh, what people do now a days.
Ya Stryder has to go for the snip snip. Poor baby. He has been a EXCELLENT unneutered dog tho. No humping, marking in the house, no sniffing out in-heat females (though he really isn't ever around them). I you didn't see them you wouldn't think the man berries were there
