Duke is always impressing me with his understanding of complicated commands but last night it was Freckles turn. Duke had followed his mom when she went to take a shower and Freckles stayed with me in the den watching TV.
After the show was over I turned off the TV. This always brings the boys as they know it's time to go out before bed time. Freckles popped up but Duke was somewhere in the bedroom or bathroom. I waited a few seconds to see if Duke would appear and when he didn't I told Freckles to "go get Duke".
He trotted off and I thought he had just retired to this spot by the bed but before I could stand up he came trotting back in with Duke following and they both went to the back door to be let out.
I can understand Freckles knowing the word "Duke, but how did he communicate with Duke that it was time to go out.
They continue to amaze me with their intelligence.
