Poor kitties :(

That's how we got one of our cats when I was 5ish... The neighbors across the street moved out and left their cat outside. The poor thing was outside for weeks and it was getting cold so my mom opened the little window from our basement and the cat eventually started going there to sleep. And we started giving her food... After a while we gave her access to the house... Needless to say, when we released her in the spring, she came right back, and she did the same for 10 years every time we let her out (she was smart, looking both sides before crossing the street etc, and she HATED dogs).

The selfish attitude of some people always astounds me.. Maybe it's because I am not at all like that, I dunno..

I was always taught that if you took on an animal it was for the duration of that animals life.. Not something that was throwawayable once you'd gotten a bit bored of it..

But then my ex neighbour was always looking out for herself above anyone else anyway..
