Flood: Some animal shelter critters die, many saved

Reading this broke my heart for the animals (twelve cats and one dog) that drowned when flood waters reached waist-deep height "within minutes." But KUDOS to the staff and volunteers who saved nearly 600 animals.

My mom told me that pretty much all crates in Louisville are sold out . . . they've been donated to AC to house the survivors until better arrangements can be made.

So sad !!! One of my dogs was at the vets many years ago during flooding . Luckily because of size , mine could keep her head above water . They called me about 2 AM and I picked her up . Many small dogs and cats didn't make it ! What a horrible death !
