This morning I am out getting some breakfast....I am crusin' along and this guy speeds up and shoots in front of me......And then jams on his brakes to make a right turn......So I have to jam my brakes to avoid hitting him......I look in my rearview....and there is NOBODY behind me for at least 5-6 blocks. So this ~insert expletive~ sped up to get in front of me just to jam his brakes to make a turn...When all he had to do was slow down a bit and then he could have got over turned and there would have been no brake jamming.....WHY DO PEOPLE DO THAT!!!!!! This guy is lucky I have restrain...because after I looked over and shot the back of his head the "WTF??" look as I passed.....For a moment I wanted to turn around follow the guy, club him, set him on fire, and then dance around his burning, chared corpse......but then I took a deep breath and a bite of my bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and laughed about the stupidity and just plain lack of courtesy so many drivers have around here.

some otherwise 'normal' people turn into raving lunatics when they get behind the wheel. no clue why....their own little power trip I guess. good thing you didn't slam into the jerk...you would have been charged with the accident. go figure.

man, I wish you would have gotten me a bacon, egg, cheese bagel. I'm drooling now. :)

I must confess that I have, on occasion, actually followed these buffoons to where they were going, driven by verrrrry slowly as they parked, and acted like I was taking notes. It's really funny to watch them get progressively more and more freaked. They can't get inside quickly enough. ;)

I have seen/experienced a lot of what you are talking about. It seems like in this college town the closer we get to spring/graduation day the worse the driving gets. There are several one way streets near campus, and on two occasions already I have seen people try to go the wrong way on a busy one way street and nto get a clue for at least a block or two. Then on this past sunday while going through a green light on my side I nearly got t-boned by a guy speeding on a road that is 35mph at MOST and blowing the red light that he had. He slammed on the brakes at the very last minute and missed me by 2 feet. I could not believe it! It happened after I had already seen 3 pretty bad accidents in a 4 hour time span.

Oy!

wow...people like that are SOOO annoying.

I am pretty crap, whats the word...ya know, when you arent even effected by something anymore...

yah, there are so many times where someone will do something stupid, and i dont even think about it. Ann Arbor is a TERRIBLE place to drive...and people drive insanely aggressive, cause if you dont, you will NEVER move from a stop sign, lol

if someone doesnt move from a stop sign when it is their turn to go...someone else will...you just cant hesitate, or you lose your turn, lol

anyways, the other day...i was driving along in the outskirts, going like 45, and in front of me is a traffic light that has a left turn lane. This car is sitting there, they have a red...but going straight has a green..no problem...

but no...the FRIGGIN woman, with her LEFT TURN BLINKER on...decides she doesnt want to turn left anymore, and from a dead STOP, starts pulling back into the right lane, RIGHT in front of me. I am going 45mph, she is at a stop...yah...that was really special...i had to SLAM on my brakes, and like you bully, thank GOD there was no one behind me...

i have NEVER honked out of reaction before, and ive had some pretty bad stuff happen to me...but i just never think of honking...i LAID on my horn...omg, this woman was some old lady...i dont even think she LOOKED to see if someone was coming.

I love you for feeling that way, Riot. But if Canada's anything at all like here, you'll never be around when someone does something like that. There's NEVER a cop around when those things happen . . . or if there is, they're on their way to log out or eat (we don't have a donut shop here, lol) so they don't bother

Here right now it is the "snowbirds" from up north added to the fact that there is just a lot of local drivers too. And it's the local drivers that are always doing stupid crap. Becasue they get all bent about more people driving around or something. So they trash the tourists for driving slow as they zoom past them doing 15 mph over the speed limit.....it's just stupid IMO. And cops.....LOL.....You have to be doing AT LEAST 15 mph over to get pulled over. Squad cars might as well be regualr drivers...people going flying by them.....now....if you see a cop on a motorcycle you better slow the eph down becasue those guys don't take any crap. I don't realy care about speed anyway...just don't speed up to jump in front of me to turn, If I have my turn signal on....let me in for crying out loud! It's bumper to bumper anyway!! And the number 1 thing that pisses me off is....STAY IN YOUR FRICKEN LANE when you are turning.....you DO NOT drift over into the other lane....god I have almost been hit so many times because people do that. Someone making a left into three lanes of road and they drift all the way to the right hand lane......Stay in the left lane until you are done with your turn like you learned in drivers-ed you dumbass!

Cops here are pretty good about stuff like that. Most of them set speed traps up. and have two cruisers on the scene, one is usually undercover driving around it. The other is a marked car by the speed trap.

People can be charged with reckless driving as well though, not just speed. So cutting someone off and then slamming on their brakes would be enough cause for reckless driving and get a ticket/fine for it. "Endangering others on the road" is basically what its clause is.

LOL in TO there was a clipping from the newspaper a while back about two police officers going through a Tim Hortons drive through on horseback! lol Classic! :)

Yeah that braking thing bothers me, and another thing that bothers me, is when your going over the speed limit, and people are so impatient they feel the need to pass you even though your already speeding.

Oh, here they love to come hell-bent-for-leather up behind you with lights flashing, then after your've pulled aside and are trying to get your heart rhythm back down to non-stroke levels, you see them pull off at the Cracker Barrel and go in for lunch

Because cars are an extension of the penis :D (for men at least lol) For women I'm not sure what the malfunction is as I don't drive, I hate to drive.

Aggressive drivers are worse than drunks IMO. At least drunks arent usually on the highways during work hours. People who are side tracked with filling their pie holes while they drive are a pain in the rear too!

LOL....That's me....I eat and drive all the time. But I don't think, no, I know it doesn't side track me. I don't speed anymore than 5-7mph over, I don't tailgate, and I haven't been in an accident I caused. I know what you are talking about though....some people have a 5 course meal going on in there and they are all over the place. I don't see any harm in munching on something though....I have been multitasking all my life. :)

And CK9, That is how it is down here ALL the time. You will be going 10-15 over on the highway and people are tailgating...

I also eat while driving. I have to have 'car food', but I don't speed or act crazy. what I REALLY hate.....just drive on our Parkway in the AM. you will see women applying make-up, men reading the paper....YES, while driving. they zig and zag like their going to get somewhere faster than the other million people out there.

omg, i HATE that...they nearly gave me a heat attack once!!

i was driving pretty late at night in the middle of detroit (not the kind of place you wanna get pulled over, lol)...and the speed limit of 35 doesnt exactly get obeyed...so i was going like 45...

anyways, from the opposite side if the road, parked, lights ALL out, a cop suddenly turns on his lights/sirens, pulls out, like burning rubber (there were no cars coming in his way) makes one heck of an impressive U - turn (half fishtailing), speeds up to me, where i am like peeing my pants cause i am scared shitless (i had NEVER been pulled over), i am about to start pulling over, cause he is riding my butt so bad, and then all of a sudden, he whips by me, pulls another u-turn, once again, skidding, pulls back to the other side, parks, and shuts of all of his lights
