Oddly enough, it was my middle finger. Guess I have an excuse to flip people off while it heals.
Yup, I know the feeling.. dropped a case of beef hearts on my finger and it looked like this:

The next day.. lovely! Yes, it was smashed (that's what the Dr. said, anyway). Happened at the end of January and the thing STILL hurts sometimes if I press down on something!
Yep, I broke my middle finger once.... Wasn't a problem while I had it in a brace, but I got used to holding it straight, and when I took the brace off sometimes I forgot to bend it.... Got lots of weird looks.
