I've been using nature's specialities but am curious what other people like. Mav is due for a good bath soon. The weather is warming up and the hair is going to be coming out! Is there anything that you guys love for the long haired breeds?
I like SG's supersen gelle shampoo - I've gone through different brands and that's my favorite so far. For two of my dogs I heavily dilute it and put it in a spray bottle, but the other has such thick fur that I don't.
SheaPet Shea Butter Shampoo is an extra-conditioning shampoo made with super gentle coconut-based cleansers that will leave your dog buttery soft. I love Miracle Coat , I order it from Petedge and its really great. Its gives the coat a healthy shine and I really like the ingreidents it has, with the tea tree oil. i've never had a problem with the shampoo & would recommend it to everyone
im a big earthbath fan, but lately ive made the switch to Cain And Able shampoos, at first it was because we were sent a sample by the company in hopes of us carrying it if we like it. (we cant get earthbath because theres already an exclusive in our area.)
so they sent a sample of their peppermint, and their lavender in the minis. after smelling i was in love, its all natural so the lavender smells just like lavenver shoud and the peppermint/teatrea is to die for.
used the lavender on the chis and they looked soo clean and fluffy and positivly glowing, and smelt awsome (saying something since the youngest bailey likes to eat his own poop lol)
then used the peppermint on itchy cocker spaniel charlie boy, the itching stopped imediatly.
the paw rub has been a godsend with this mushy winter (and wrks great as a lipbalm) so after enjoying the pawrub for myself i tried the lavender shampoo and it worked real well...i woudlnt suggest for every day use for humans as the ph is different, but as a once in a while perk up its awsome!
i cant wait till the hot weather comes, im gonna try the peppermint on myself when its realy sticky out lol.
we carry it in the store now and the peppermint/teatrea is a huge hit with out bulldog customers!
Earthbath is what I use too and I really like it. I've always wanted to try Nature's Specialties though - just don't know of any stores around me that carry it.
Nature's Specialties for us! That's what we use on the dogs at my work, and we sell it as well. I've used many different kinds of shampoos and always come back to this. Lavenderm is my favourite.
I've gotten great results with Lambert Kay Fresh 'n Clean Baking Soda and Oatmeal Shampoo. This is alternated with a Top Dog shampoo that has 2% coal tar for her occasional dandruff.
I used to like Earthbath but they changed the formula or something. It doesn't clean as well as it used to. I noticed on smellier dogs there would still be a smell hanging around and you wouldn't always get that "clean" look. I love Harry Barker's Oatmeal Shampoo, it smells like heaven and cleans well. Same for Esprit Rainforest Shampoo. And Pro-Groom products... well, just what the name implies.
I have tried several shampoos and a friend of mine recommended Pet Silk. I dont think that it is sold "stores" like Petco. I get it from www.purecanine.com, but I have seen other places online that have it. I have only tried clean scent and rainforest, I like them both but I think I like clean scent better.
