I remember crawling under the Christmas tree and laying on my back and looking up at all the colorful lights in the tree. I would lay there for a good 30 mins or so.. something was magical about it.

Whats your favorite memory?

I can totally relate. As a kid, I was obsessed with Christmas trees. In the dark they are just so beautiful and magical.

My favorite Christmas memories are of my family driving around to look at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve. We always got to wear our pajamas and drive to Peacock Lane, a street where all the houses put up a major light display.

Oh, and I can't forget the stockings my Mom would stuff for us. She was so good at stocking stuffers!!!

my favorite really doesnt have anything to do with me but my baby brother.

My brother got pnemonea(sp?) really bad 2 weeks before christmas when he was 3 and had always wanted a dog but my mom didnt have the time for one so she decided to get him a cat. Well she took him to the foster home that had all these kittens and my brother was sick and falling asleep just sitting there and snowy one of th kittens riddled with ringworm crawled in his lap and fell right asleep. So my mom adopted that one the next day without my brother there and took it to my oma's(grandmother) house to keep there till christmas. Well the fur was coming back on christmas morning and he was a white Dom. Long Hair and he had a huge red bow on him that was bigger then him and he came out of my moms room and walked right to my brother. We had that cat until he died at 10 years old. :D my brother still tears up when you say that cats name.

I also really enjoy watching the lights on the trees. We've got those strands with the different settings. One of the settings reminds me of water rippling, especially on the blue color. I loved (and still do) to turn out all the lights except for the tree and just alternate between watching the lights and watching the patterns on the ceiling.

It would either have to be the Christmas I got my sled or Dakota.
We picked Dakota up from the breeder on Dec. 21. I dont remember them telling me I could get a husky, but I was so excited when I picked him out. I fell asleep in the car on the way home, holding him the entire time. School was angonizing that next day. Last day before Christmas break, I had to leave my pup for a whole 5 hours! But I got 2 weeks with him before I went back.
And about my sled:
About a week or two before Christmas, I started asking for hints on my presents. One of them was a box that was about a foot square. My dad came right out and told me it was my sled. Of course, I didnt believe him. Then, Christmas morning, opening the box up, I found it to be full of packing peanuts and a letter saying the received the order for my sled! I was so happy, and on Jan. 15 it came!!

My sophomore year in college I found myself in south america for Christmas. I sat up all night Christmas Eve guarding three girls in the airport. Then we had a 5AM flight Christmas day to Ushuaia Argentina.

We got there, spent the whole day wandering around and exploring and buying food piece by piece to cook for Christmas dinner. Then that evening we ran into some friends from school so we invited them over too. We had a wonderful pasta dinner and then we watched "The Grinch"(the newer one) and all fell asleep in a big old heap on the sofa from travelling and being tired.

It was great. My first Christmas away from home and it was great. I love Christmas at home but this was special too.

Anyone have a good Christmas away from home story?

Too many to post ! One stands out though . I was 7 and I remember sitting on the stairs and trying to see what was under the tree . ( We couldn't go downstairs until all up and it was still dark ). I couldn't make out the shapes . Finally we went down and there was a doll house , and doll high chair with a doll sitting in it . I still have the house and chair .
