A gaggle of flat coats. They look amazing.

Where do they get the ducks? Do they get them from a farm or something? (Just curious, don't object to using them and not trying to start some animal rights thing.)

They are all so gorgeous! I love seeing photos of retrievers working. One day I'd like to see it in real life too... that may be one of my goals with my next Toller.

These are so amazing! I love them all! Really neat seeing all her relatives. I always think it's neat seeing multiples of a breed that's one solid color like that and how they all look them same but different.

I'm glad you got such a gorgeous day (even if it ended with you sunburned)

Thanks guys. We are having way too much fun this week :)

Where do they get the ducks? Do they get them from a farm or something? (Just curious, don't object to using them and not trying to start some animal rights thing.)
These particular ducks are from a hunt test that Mira's dad ran a couple weeks ago. At the end of the test a lot of the (already killed) ducks were in good shape and of little use to the club so they were given away in exchange for a donation to the club.

There are quite a few game bird suppliers around the country, particularly in the midwest, which raise birds specifically for gun dog training and for release on owned hunting grounds or for conservation efforts.

That looks like complete fun! Mira's dad is a total stunner, and I love, love, love the liver color on a flat coat. For some reason, I had it in my head that they could only come in black... I don't know why.

Family reunions create fun pictures to drool over (as well as more excitement for the future V pup). :)
