you got your chick starter food? shallow waterer and warmed area? That is about all i know.,.the waterer that is like a 2 liter screwed into a lid and then turned upside down is the best one to use.

Well i'm going to ask for around 6 eggs, the owners of the farm are good friends and they gave us all our previous chickens that we have had.

They are going to be kept inside for 6 weeks, ofcourse i will take them outside and for walks every couple of days,
then at 6 weeks i will move them into a outside pen, coming in a night
and then they will go free range with our other 3 chickens

btw when i say walks, i mean because they will be in my room i hope they will bond with me, so they should follow me like their mum

Ofcourse you will be getting ALOT of pics!!! :D

Only thing I can think of is to make sure they get Vitamin D in their feed since you're not keeping them out doors. Don't want to get rickets.

youll have alot of fun, for the most part keep em warm, shallow waterer, good feed (many chick feeds now come wiht additional D and C.

i want a couple of hens to roam around my garden, but dad would kill me..
once i get my own home (about 2 years if everything goas according to plan) ill have 3-6 hens if for no other reasons than fresh eggs and tick control.
