Her favorite thing - a stick!

She loooves jumping in the water trough.

Nom nom

My mom chasing her around. "No Grandma it's mah stick!"

And in about 3 seconds, she strips it of all its leaves.

I tried to get a video of her and Jasmine running like mad in the open space (my grandma's 100 acre ranch) but I'd never used my phone for video before and apparently failed. They had fun though - trust me! They're sleeping like logs right now.

I was proud of them with the little kids. My cousins have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and the dogs did want to keep licking their faces but weren't too rough with them or anything. I think the 1 year old would have let Dom lick his face forever! He lives with a heard of doxies. ;)

Good for your dogs!!!! IF children were around that Mary would have been in heaven and Pepper and Victor would have slipped out the back door and hidden.

I have never seen a dog strip a branch like that. Mine ate elm leaves, especially Mary but that would be the only ones. I believe elm has aspirin aspect to it so I would leave sapling ones in the yard and cut them so they would be bushy. Mary regularly grazed there but they didn't pull it all off like yours. Wish i could have seen the video.

Yeah it was pretty hilarious because we turned around to look at something else for a second and when we turned back the leaves were gone and the stick had become a nub! Part of them came off while she was running around with it though. When she first finds a good stick she likes to run laps around us with it to show it off.

I was surprised Jasmine was interested in the kids at all, usually she just acts like they're weird and avoids them. I think she liked these two because they didn't come to her and she got a chance to go to them (the 3 year old's a little nervous around dogs even though her family has a 150lb dane/mastiff mix!). We did have to start pushing/calling them away (Dom especially) because they didn't want to stop getting in the kids' faces but it was still just licking.

Logan loves dogs. He's chasing Lexi around the house right now. (I'm the cousin with the 16 MONTH OLD -- WAY older than "a year", Lisa!)
