Look at the picture of the dog in the casts. This is terrible.

full story found here

On May 25, Vincent, who had been arguing with his wife, chased her dog, a Chihuahua-mix less than a year old, with a leaf blower, Baierschmidt said. After catching the dog, he put it in an oven set at 200 degrees.

He took the dog out once but then put it back in, according to court records. The dog was in the oven a total of about five minutes.

As a result of the leafblower attack and the heat exposure in the oven, Henry lost an eye, his claws were fused together from the heat and he will never again be able to walk normally, Baierschmidt said.

"Some may shrug their shoulders and say it's just a dog. But tomorrow it could be a woman or a child," said Humane Society Executive Director Gene Baierschmidt, who noted that many notorious serial killers started off by torturing animals.

the man is a monster!

Quote for HS website
"Once again, we are asking you to contact the District Attorney, David E. Yocom. Politely ask that the maximum sentence currently possible be handed down, and explain that this is important partly because cruelty to animals is often a foreshadowing of violence against human beings.

There are three ways to do this:

1. By e-mail at [email protected] or to Deputy District Attorney Howard Lemcke at [email protected]

2. By sending a brief, handwritten letter to this address:

David E. Yocom
District Attorney for Salt Lake County
11 E. Broadway #400
Salt Lake City, UT 84111

3. By telephoning the D.A.’s office at 486-3300

Again, HSU is following the case closely and will be present for the sentencing hearing as well. We’ll keep you informed as new developments arise. For now, please keep contacting the District Attorney’s office (see addresses above) and ask that the most severe penalty possible under the current law should be given to Marc Vincent."

The home page also lists otherr recaps on the case."

:yikes: That made me feel physically ill. It really makes you wonder what makes sick people do things like that.

I would like to spend about an hour alone with the man that did that...no, I wouldn't kill him, but I sure as heck would make him wish he were dead...I have no tolerance for that kind of abuse...he deserves to rot.

Very sad. Poor dog. :(

Even though he will recover physically I wonder if he will ever recover mentally.

Yes he will probably have trust issues with men, but he won't recover physically either. If you read further he lost an eye and will never be able to walk normally due to his claws :(

it makes me So mad that some peoplewon't care till you show them that a person could be hurt!

an animal was hurt and they don't care, only when the prospect of a vicous attack on another human comes up do they care. i always hate that!

What's really sad is that the people who do these things, commit an animal cruelty crime... they are not punished enough!!! It's sickening, they get charged a little amount of money or thrown in jail for about a month and if the dog is lucky a year. But i still dont think it is enough...

This story is so terribly sad and sickening. I can't believe that someone could ever do this to their dog :(

What a sick individual, perhaps their punishment should be to do the same to them!!!!!
