An experience, I'm sure.

One I plan to never take part in but yet, some how, some where, fate will find a way.

I love going to the gym and lifting, it is the cardio that I have a hard time getting motivated for.
Eww, yeah me too. I hate going for runs or jogs or any other means of increasing my cardio.

But when it comes to power and lifting, I don't find it bad at all.

I;ve never tried lifting weights. I've tried basketball before, though. Jogging after a deer or a cat with Liberty is enough of a workout for me.

jogging on a track is boring jogging on a treadmill is coma inducing. But where I live running or hiking on trails watching deer and listening for hawks as you go now that is fun. I am definetely more of a motion person though i don't know if anybody here has ever tried yoga? It's an amazing workout but i'm definetely not a breathe and melt my stress away kind of person im more of turn on really loud music and hit a bag until your into much pain to have stress =)

Well... I've never been one for actually scheduling workouts, etc, but I sure do get my share of excersize! Handling 5 dogs in agility, obedience, jr showmanship, and just playing will do that to ya!

I am *supposed* to be doing so many different kinds of pushups(about 70 total everyday), crunches(and other similar excersizes), toe touches & pikes(cheerleading jumps), etc etc etc.. for tumbling, but usually I cannot find the TIME to do that!..

I'm borderline fanatical about my schedule. It makes me mad when I miss a day. Last week when we got snow I had to postpone my squat workout for a day while I shovelled snow. Then I had to do squat day and bench day on back to back days and that never works well either. I like keeping Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday for my workouts. The other days are for recovery and pain relief. :)

I don't really have a schedule but if i don't at least go for a walk everyday i start to get really twitchy. Plus i don't have a car so it's not uncommon for me to walk 3 plus miles jsut to go places. One thing thats looks like a lot of fun is biking. A lot of people train in this area i haven't been on a bike in years but i'm really considering it right now

Sure Grammy works out !! Just watch me change the sheets on a King sized guest bed with a big *ass thick mattress and sheets that don't fit !!! Or scrub my kitchen tile floors.... or wash the walls Chip leans on .... or flip the mattress to " his " futon.... or vacuum up his hair.... or wash his slobbered windows.... sigh ... I'm worn out !!!!

Yes- 2 days a week of strength training is ideal for someone who does a lot of cardio. You really need to let your muscles rest after a good workout. Recovery and nutrition is just as important as the routine you do.

2 days a week you could do a full body type of routine. If you stick to basic, compound lifts (ones that work multiple muscles/bodyparts at once) you don't even have to do a whole lot to see a difference.
