Do You Read While Using the Toilet?

It's common for me to grab a book and read while going #2

I would also like to add that growing up, it was VERY common for everyone we knew to have some type of book/magazine/newspaper holder in their bathroom..........it was those who DIDN'T have one that seemed strange! My aunt had a whole cabinet next to the toilette chocked FULL of Mad Magazines, Archee Comics, etc etc just for restroom viewing pleasure, hahahaha

I want to share one more thing: My oldest son (just last week) said he was in the mood to read a book and asked if he could borrow one from my shelf (my bedroom shelf) I told him of course! I followed him into my room and we were browsing the selection. He paused, turned to look at me, and asked
"Could you point out some you HAVEN'T taken to the bathroom with you?" :rofl1: :rofl1:

Yup. And also do sudoku and crosswords at times. It's a hangover from growing up, when the only safe place to just sit was the bathroom! Anywhere else, and my mother would inevitiably pop up to a) lecture about my shortcomings; b) assign chores; or c) nag about going outside in the fresh air: "But, mom, it's snowing!" "So shovel!"

Come to think of it, she could do it all in just a single sentence. Multitasker, my mom.

But still. I mean, if I have to go #2, I go and don't. lol Id read like what? 2 sentances? Ive never really seen magazines in the bathroom either xD You must just all be weird.

So, um... how long do you take to go to the bathroom? Because when I need to go - I go. Im not just like HEY! I could go to the bathroom and read and go... :lol-sign:

TMI, but since you asked so nicely... lots of people take awhile to properly #2! My guy has IBS and spends up to half an hour in the washroom at any given time. I get bouts of it as well and am happy for the distraction when I have to sit that long.

Otherwise, sometimes I'm done quickly and just want a bit of solitude.

I sometimes just lock myself in there & read on the floor.

We have a rack with multiple magazines and a few novels. We always did growing up too.

I take a book regardless. and I am actually a very fast "go-er" lol but I stay in there forever if the book is good! lol
