No, but I have undiagnosed anxiety problems. Both my mother and my younger sister are diagnosed... I think I also have a very mild case of OCD.

I'm just kind of afraid of what they'd tell me, lol!

I get along fine the way I am, but my sister absolutely needs her medications. She's doing so much better now.

As a mental health professional, let me agree and applaud everything smkie said.

Bipolar disorder on its own is very treatable. However, it is either often confused with or comorbid with personality disorders, which are VERY DIFFICULT TO TREAT. They are treatable, they just are much more difficult. Medications work wonders with Bipolar Disorder. There is no medication for personality disorder. It must be treated through therapy.

I have found that family therapy for young adults and adolescents -- to give support and realism to family members who also think they are crazy because what goes on around them -- is the most helpful treatment. By far.
