I agree on research... Here in Reno, we have "swamp coolers" instead of air cond. Of course some newer houses have central air, but a lot have swamp coolers. I have never heard of them before I moved here. They look like huge outside air cond. Anyway, there was a thread on another formum about birds (since birds/parrots have very sensitive resp. systems). Anyway, there was a thread about the "filters" that were causing parrots to die. TOTAL LIE, I contacted the company and spoke to a rep. who was "right on it." I didn't understand how it would have affected the parrots anyway (I have several), but I was still concerned. Unless there is research and proof, the person stating this could be held libel. As for the air filters and parrots, the BIG thing was it was producing formaldihide, which common sence told me that was not right, so while everyone was freaking out, I contacted the company and manufacturer. Turned out to be soooo false. I am not saying this topic is, but as the above post stated, make sure it's not a fluke or rumor, and do the research.
Also, why would a floor cleaner have anti-freeze in it? Unless your floor sometimes freezes. Now, I am not being rude, these days you never know what is in some stuff. I have to watch the candles I buy... Can't have certain wicks because of my parrots....but, a floor cleaner and anti-freeze, i doubt it, but I will check into it. If you have a lot of animals "Simple Green" is great, and non toxic. If you really want to clean and don't have your animals around for a moment you can also mix it with bleach for a clean smelling, dis. clean. You won't get the ammonia/bleach reaction, just a good cleaning agent. I love Simple Green.
