Crack & Cryptonite

What is your dog(s) crack & their cryptonite?


Hudson's crack
- the hose, or anything that will spray water at him (except for bathes, they don't count. They're the devil). This goes for leaves & snowballs
- fleece pogo plus

- tuggy things

Hudson's Cryptonite
- sprays. Example, waterless shampoo sprays. He hates them. Hates them so much
- The cat, lol.

Leo's Crack:
- Frisbees! He has literally never stopped chasing Frisbees because he is tired. I always have to end the game, because he just won't
- Edible things of any kind. This dog used to blow me off with a treat because he was busy eating grass. He will eat anything. Even gross seemingly non-doggy things like lettuce or celery.

Leo's Kryptonite:
- Vacuum Cleaners. So so scary and definitely out to get him
- Water. Any kind of water. He would like me to know that there is a serious risk of melting if he touches any kind of water.
- Ear Cleaning. The woe. He is prone to ear infections because he has very hairy ears. The second he sees me grab anything ear cleaning related, he tries to slink away.

Abrams' crack:
Most foods.
The hose.
The laser pointer!
Air in a can (compressed air? Hahaha I can't remember what it's called.)
Flyswatters/foam noodles/anything he can be beat with.
Squeaky balls, especially if he can squish them with his nose against the ground.

Abrams' kryptonite:
Shrimp and orange peels. (He'll eat them, don't get me wrong. He just whines and barks at it the entire time.)
Getting his nails trimmed. The woe. The woe is very strong. He won't even take treats during the process.

Fable's Crack:
-All food. Whether it is a vegetable, a piece of steak, or some kibble, she will not leave you alone until it has been consumed.
-Her kennel. Fable loves her kennel and just likes to go in and sleep in it. If she is ever feeling scared or uncertain (which isn't often these days), she will go into her kennel because she feels safe there.
-Walks and bike rides. If you let her, Fable would just keep walking and/or running. She loves being outside and meeting dog and human friends.

Fable's Kryptonite:
-Large men that assume it's ok to reach over the top of her head and pet her. It scares the poop out of her when that happens, and does not help her shyness one bit.
-Cats/squirrels/anything small, furry, and fast. She is a cattle dog, after all.
-Baths/water in general. When I took her to the beach she HATED the water. She also hates the rain. As for baths, well I think most dogs hate baths. Fable had one today

Fun!!!

Crossbone's crack:
1) Anything crinklable or shreddable. Paper bags, water bottles, boxes, etc.
2) Pink latex pig
3) ALL FOOD
4) Swimmable bodies of water

Cryptonite:
1) People touching his head or reaching over him
2) being told to sit still
3) Wet grass
4) Mailman. He despises the guy.
5) loud motorcycles - need to be chased


Jack's crack:
1) FOOD
2) Going for walks/car rides
He doesn't have any favorite toys or get excited for things other than the top two

Cryptonite:
1) Water, of any kind

Summer:

Crack:
People. Pretty much just people
Going through drive throughs- because people baby talk her then give her food
Milk Bones at Petsmart. I think it's mostly people giving her food.

Kryponite:
water
Other dogs that want to play

Kong x small squeakers
Small animals- squirrels, bunnies, mice, etc
Foodstuff

Kryptonite:
Water/rain/wet ground
Other dogs

Basically mostly everything

Crack:

Chasing fast things!

Kryptonite:
Vacuums
Baths

Cobain's Crack:
- Any sort of throwable toy.
- Agility tunnels
- Chasing squirrels


Cobain's Kryptonite:
- Funnily enough...it's Superman. My brother has a 3foot tall superman figure and Cobain HATES the thing. If it comes out of my brother's room he will bark and nip it's heels until it falls over

- Also, other dogs playing. That's not allowed. Ever.

Maya's Crack:

1. Cheese - all kinds
2. Tennis balls
3. The beach

Kryptonite:
1. Hardwood Floors
2. Tile Floors

The fact that I have both types of these floors in my house makes watching her jump from area rug to area rug very entertaining!

Crack:
- Green chuckit balls strung on a rope
- Bunnies (mine, or wild ones)
- Cheese

Kryptonite:
- Teeters in agility
- The vet's office, but only during the exam - before and after he's wiggly and friendly, but during the exam he flails and tries to melt into the floor
- Spray bottles. Useful in a pinch when he's being a butthead, but he looks so sad when I try to spray on waterless shampoo.
