I hope that at some point in my lifetime I will see the end of this flawed voting system.

Voting for people because you are AGAINST their opponent. Voting for the lesser of two evils, despite not being able to support the candidate. Feeling restricted to two parties. Determining your Presidential candidate on celebrity endorsements. Voting for the candidates that the mass media presents on a silver platter. Not understanding any of the issues and voting because someone "has experience" or "will be good for the country." Complaining about social/fiscal policy, yet continually voting the perpetrators into office. Ignoring rampant vote fraud, which has been covered by major media outlets.

This isn't Democracy.

I think I love you, Herschel. And I mean that in a non-gross way, too.:D

I won't see it in my time Herschel .... but I hope you do . As stated by David Letterman last night , who in their right mind would even want to be President ! I know many who could lead better than all candidates at the moment ...... with the system ,as it's set up, it's not worth it ....even for the country they love .

This makes for an interesting race

amazing recovery for her after all of those defeats in a row.

I hope this all turns out for the best because if it goes to the Super Delegates and they are the ones that finally make the decision it is going to have some consequences for the deomcrats.

I think it is all very cliche to say that this is not democracy and that I am only voting for this person because this person is worse. All three of the candidates that remain have the capability to lead this nation.

If they are not who is? Regardless of what candidate is picked there is going to be someone somewhere that has issue with a decision that they have made or a position that they have taken in the past.

Just biding time until the big day comes... America has too many independant people. Sooner or later they will push it too far, then we will punch back.

History shows us it is inevitable. It will come to a fight.

Who is ready? Are you ready Herschel? What are you willing to do to preserve this nation?

The same thing that every single one of us should do: run for office.

I hate that we end up thinking our politicians are some sort of superheroes or something. Even down to the local level, we glorify our mayors and councilmen. It is a job. The same as any of the rest of us. The only difference? Instead of working to pay their living expenses, politicians work for money and power.

I don't normally like arguing politics, in person or online but the first part of your statement gave me pause.

Lets just say for a minute that you are the best most honest person, you have wonderful ideas and you actually COULD pull the whole country together and set things right with them. Now lets pretend that you ran for office and were actually elected.

You have to fight to get your ideas through at every turn, you know there are systems in place to block your decisions. Not only must you fight your fellow politicians, you must also fight big business AND the voters.

In the end most if not all your ideas will never come to life...........it's just the way it is. So I don't think running for office is going to save this country, I don't care WHO decides to run.........VIVA La Revolution! :D

Now the second part of your statement I whole heartedly agree with. I think it is ridiculous the way they are elevated to super human, they are supposed to be public servants and everyone has forgotten just what the definition is for that.
