Oh, I'm well over 350,000 on the 318i with no repairs other than what I had to when I bought it (idiot woman had burned up the clutch and managed to tear up the front wheel bearings, less than $300 for both, though) and replacing some fuel lines, and my own idiocy, not realizing the hydraulic fluid for the clutch and brakes are on a common reservoir and needing to top up the fluid
)
Heck, I drove my Cavalier for over 250,000 miles with no repairs other than replacing the brakes, never even had to clean the injectors, and it ran almost like new until the SO at the time wrecked it.
Until it gets over 200,000 miles I don't count it as "long term."
German cars and reliability . . . there's a reason you see so many of them out there with all those mileage badges.
I think Cadillac started issuing them not too long ago (maybe?), but I haven't seen anyone else putting them out there?
