I don't think this is normal but I have to ask for opinions.
Bubba has a schedule when it comes to feeding time, 8 am and 8 pm.
Mom lives with my husband and I and she helps us with our pets. If I’m in the shower in the morning, she’ll feed them (Bubba, Lady & Daisy). Bubba though, won’t eat until me or my husband are standing or sitting by him.
Last night, my husband and I were not home so mom fed them at 8:00 pm. She calls me at 9 to tell me that Bubba doesn’t want to eat. She said he didn’t look sick he just didn’t want to eat. We got home at around 10:30 pm and my husband gave him food and Bubba started eating.
The reason why Bubba has a schedule is he's diabetic and needs his insulin shot 2 times a day. So the concept of he'll eat when he's hungry isn't an option here. Can it be separation anxiety?
