WE noticed the other day that our white shepered's nose was a pinkish white color. This looked kind of strange to us. Her nose has always been black. Is this a warning that something may be wrong??
My sister's Shep/Husky/Lab mix had this happen to her....does your pup play with plastic/rubber toys? What kind of food/water dish does she have? My sister's vet said it can be a reaction to the plastic/rubber; I also believe she was drinking out of a ceramic bowl at the time. They switched her to stainless steel dishes and took away the rubber/plastic toys for a bit...her nose got a little better but she really likes the rubber squeaky toys so they just gave them back...it didn't hurt her just makes her Rudolph..
Her lips and around her eyes are still black. She is marked like a Poler Bear, heck she looks like a poler bear in the face, Here is either a link or a pic that you can see. Not sure how to do this, so don't know which you will get. The pic is in my signature but this one is bigger.

No plastic toys. She would eat them...lol. Yes on the plastic dishes. It is a very hard plastic. But she has had those dishes for 5 years now and her nose never turned this color before. At least that we noticed!

Hmmmm....I know Lexie had a black nose at one point. I am not sure when it started to turn pink. So I am afraid I am not much help otherwise. Do you have a regular vet you can go to? That won't charge you an arm and a leg to just take a quick look at the nose? It could be a reaction to something else or it could just have happened. I think my vet said it can just happen to same dogs....and Lex does have some shepard in her.
I hope you can figure out what is causing it....or you might just have to start calling her Rudolph like I do to Lex...lol
