no she called pit bulls a bastardized breed way before she mentioned street pits here.
I know I saw that, but I though you meant why was she explaining what she though was the difference between a "street" pit and a registered one. Sorry ..

Just because a pit bull isn't registered doesn't mean it is a bad dog, just so you know. :)
And what's dat??? I've heard of putting ' before things you shorten, but when you actually change the word to slang I don't think your suppose to do that, but I could be wrong.

who cares about the akc, they are not the deciding entity on what a purebreed is and isnt. I read a statement from the akc in a dog fancy once while sitting at the vet. the akc rep was quoted as saying "we do not deny that the american pit bull is a pure breed, it meets all the standards for breed recognition. we however feel that with the undeserved reputation of the pit bull in america, our acceptance would be promoting it and we do not want to get a bad name."
the akc is a bunch of spineless wimps. they do not enforce the standard as the judging guideline for the gsd because "popular opinion" is too strongly against it.

Actually I brought that up.....she said she wouldn't want a "street" pit living anywhere near her

You know I think it might be the chesters man in manchesters that made everyone think you where a he instead of a she lol. Ok sorry I just thought of that and it made me laugh, it wasn't an attack of any kind.

just because a pit is not registered by the ukc does not mean that it isnt bred to the same standards. you think every non ukc registered pit bull in this country is what you call a street pit bull??? if so you are sorely mistaken, just made a lot fo new enemies (as if you didnt have enough), and really need to do some research.

And you become Blue BABY, right. But I suspect you don't know what that refers to. It is what they call babies born of parents with opposing Rh factors, when the mother is -

Actually I thought of that one too LOL And your right I didn't know what it meant, but it's kinda obvious. A way to get a blue baby is by the blood not being oxygenated properly. Then I looked it up and learned something new.

The generic Pits have no pedigree. There is no way to tell if they are pure bred, or if maybe some Rottie or Mastiff, or any other breds were thrown in. Street Pits to me are the mutts bred to be junk yard dogs, or chained with tow chains in the front of your local friendly drug dealers yard. You think the owners of those mutts even knows what a pedigree is???????

The magazine article you quote makes no sense, since AKC DOES register UKC registered Pit Bulls.

That you have learned about it. I can't remember your age, but (This is another reason knowing age helps) if you ever have to have a blood test, ask them to type your blood for you. I am AB-. The rarest type. Only 3% of the entire world population have that type. Knowing can save your life.

om my god. again, why would you even bring it up on here? for one thing you should realize that there are a lot of people who really love the pit bull and would take great offense at the being called a bastardized breed. also, what in the he!! makes you think anyone on this site would have a dog bred to be a junk yard dog or drug dealer guard dog?

Why must you continue to bash the breed? My bf Becca has a non-AKC or UKC pit bull and she is plenty pure even though she doesn't have the papers to prove it. She was recently diagnoised with lymphoma and they have spent over $2,000 to not save her but prolong her quality of life...yep sounds like a street pit to me, why waste the money on a generic pit?

You are also wrong about the Rh factor, which I have. It does not denote a blue baby but one that needs a transfusion more often than not as the mothers blood when crossing the placental barrier destroys the babies red blood cells so no iron can be made. Although you are right that no red blood cells would eventually lead to a very blue baby.

Also are you going to address the issue of Misty? The Dobe you bred that you admitted had temperment problems? Or just not bother since you don't have a good answer for that one?

I'd say the pittie issue is a little off topic. Also, I don't think Manchesters is accusing anyone of owning her version of a "street pitbull". Besides, any dog can be great, even if it does have a little rottie thrown in.

Ill try this another way. If you have a dog that everyone seems to hate because they think he is mean, would it help the situation if everyone stood outside of the fence jabbing him with sticks?
