Also, I would NEVER kick a dog, with a toe or a heel. Too, I am much older than you and feel I have the respect of the younger generation on this forum. Yes, we senior citizens have our aches and pains, good days and bad days, but don't take it out on MY family !!!

I know this was a few posts back, but I wanted to say that Bubbatd you have earned the respect of me and probably many of the younger people here.

are you also aware of the fact that the american hospital institute (dont recall if that is the exact name or not) keeps records of dog bite victims? and that according to their records for the last 10 years have the pit bull listed as #3? are aware that that is actually #3 from the bottom on a list of the top 30 most popular breeds in america? look it up, and stop posting incorrect information.

Are you trying to be sarcastic or are you just ingnorant? Neva, pictured below is an AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER and is cross registered with the AKC as an AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIR TERRIER. SAME THING!!! She does not guard drugs or maul children neither do the other four pit bulls in my family, two of which are owned my my grandmother who is 82. Are you narrow-minded and just believe whatever you hear/see/read when it comes to this wonderful breed that is currently the target of the media? Hmmm... not to many years ago it was the Dobe and the GSD that were the target of the media. Did you stand up for the breed you loved? Did I not see on another post how you bred a Dobe that you admitted had character faults as well as standard faults? You think Pits have a problem? It is people like you that breed dogs that shouldn't be bred that have given them a bad name. I wash my hands of you and hope you continue to make a fool of yourself until someone finally bans you from this site.

1. There is a difference between "kicking" and "Kicking at".

2. Why are you dumbfounded that I have a 7 year old dog? A bunch are older than that.

3. I will allow that you do not know anything about Terriers and their quirks. Please check for yourself about Terrier sense of humor, then you will understand...perhaps. Or maybe someone with one of the herding breeds can tell you about their idea of funny, trying to herd their people around....and nipping at the heels. Had a friend's Belgian do it to me.

Street pits are bred for aggressiveness, and to be treacherous. UKC Pits are bred expressly for good temperament and tractability. And for muscles if intended for pulling competition, etc.

Not my opinion. Facts concerning the makeup of the breed. They are not purebred. In this country the purebreds are American Staffordshire Terrier and the Staffordshire Terrier. There is no breed known as Pit Bull recognized by the AKC. And don't bother with the "who cares about AKC". That is very old.
