Anyone tried a "cool bed" ?

Manni seems to have a hard time choosing between the comfort of his dog bed and the coolness of the hardwood floor. I was looking around online and came across a couple of so-called "cool beds":

Has anyone tried a bed like this? It seems like a great compromise but it's awfully pricey :yikes:

Amazon has the K&H bed and cover at a cheaper price, and the reviews look pretty good:

Ollie has his choice : My bed , his bed , the hardwood floor , the kitchen tile . the carpet or the futon . Sorry Baby ... pick it and enjoy !

I bought the Canine Cooler for Mick. I swear, it was the best thing I ever did. If you've seen those "Chillows" they make for people, it's made by the same company.

Cooling Beds

Have you tried this? I just purchased the large for my Rottie mix, by the way, large is not quite large enough for him It is supposed to draw the heat from their body cooling them during the warmer months. Sometimes even with the A/C on in the house, he still pants. It also aids in aches and pains from arthritis. It is actually a water bed for dogs! So far I have only been able to get Mel in it when I coax him to it, he has not gone in it on his own yet.
