I am sorry for the way I handled that, and sorry for hurting your feelings. Although the reasoning for saying it may be valid I agree I handled it badly. I have been a mother since I was 15 years old. I have had to go through endless struggles to avoid being on welfare and to do the right thing. Even to the point of living in a travel trailer to get back on my feet. I do not think it is fair when people have children and then just live on welfare at all. That is my belief. So knowing the hardships that I have faced and overcame, It upset me very bad to see you talk about your upcoming trip and then to say you were to lazy to work. All I thought of at that moment was that with as hard as I've tried , my children do not get to do the things yours are. My self respect means alot to me so I'm sorry. I understand now that you said it jokingly.

When people get all riled up, it's hard to see what the issue really is. It's obvious people don't like me and will use whatever means possible to make it known.
