I got up this morning and noticed that T-Bone has bumps all over her body... I have never seen them on here before and now she is covered with them. Could this be an allergy? Normally, I'd be off to the vet with her today, but I am visiting my folks up in VA and I do not really want to put her through going to a vet she doesn't know...plus, I did not find one I am happy with either. She does not scratch like mad and she seems to be her happy self- just with bumps. Can I try benedryl or is there something like benedryl for dogs? I will be going back on monday... if she does not act strange should I just wait until I can go to my trusted vet?

Here's a picture of her bumps...

Definitely looks like an allergic reaction. I would think Benadryl may help since that's what my vet has always told me to give for an allergic reaction.

So strange! I haven't given her anything other than what she usually gets. Hmmm.. maybe the Virginian motor air :) Thanks so much for your input, barb!

Yes, looks like allergies, Buddy had and sometimes has, similar bumps. But I'm not vet so can't say for sure :p

You can use benadryl on dogs. :)

Do you have mosquitos there? We had a dog that always reacted like that to bites. It was weird because the other dog did not get lumps.

We see bumps down here too. It is usually related to bites of some kind. Mosquitoes and fleas are very common here. If it is an allergy, what is the source of the allergen? Any ideas?
