Unless of course it is Continnetial KC, otherwise famously known as the Con KC, then you are SOL!

I'd get those papers to the CKC as soon as possible.. they take close to 5-7 months to get back to you! lol We JUST got Jadas papers in the mail the other day! and shes close to 7 months old now! Crosbys had to be returned due to errors

thanks Yuckaduck, I will take a look at that
doubt I'll join though :p
I would hope you wouldn't have anything to do with the Con K.C. It is the registry that all the backyard breeders are using. They don't require DNA testing, you can breed a bitch or dog forever with no restrictions. They also register mutts.....like Labradoodles, and such.

It is know as the Con Kennel Club because puppy buyers are CONNED into thinking the registration papers actually MEAN something. There is no way a Con registered dog will be accepted by the AKC.

Now Manchesters, the paper is worth something, would make great toilet paper if I happened to be walking in the middle of no where and well you know had to go!!

Unfortunately Tennessee is one of the puppy mill states. Most likely these papers are for the Continental Kennel Club, and are virtually useless. I hope this puppy's parents were tested for hips and eyes.

Now, you CAN get an ILP from AKC that will allow you to show your dog in obedience and field competitions. You really should consider neutering/spaying your pup when it is old enough. Save it from suffering from PMS all the time, rofl.

Do you know the age or anything of the parents? Have the parent's been bred before? I'm sorry to hear about your older standard, I have a 4 month old standard poodle now and she is just the best. I would really see if the parents had hip and eye (especially eye) testing.

No offense but, would someone like to translate?

I would like to reply, but I find it confusing.
They had rescued an older Standard Poodle named Sherlock. He had Addison's disease and had to be put down. The same day a groomer gave them a Standard Poodle pup. The parents of the pup weigh about 50-60 pounds. They don't know that much about Poodles and likely we can help them I should think!

Not too much trouble translating.......just misspelled "know", and not having punctuation makes it interesting! I enjoy such challenges! It is like solving a puzzle.

I will be happy to translate for this good person any time it might be necessary. My spelling wouldn't be all that great except that I have a spell checker that I actually paid money for!!!!!

We will be glad to give you any help you feel you need. How old is the pup? What did you name her? What do you feed her? Let us know and we can give you whatever help you may need.

standard's are really great dogs. Just don't let her get away with stuff you don't want her to be doing. Our standard will now climb over the baby gate in the kitchen because we thought it was funny the first time she did it but now it's just not so funny. Have atleast two ten minute training sessions for your pup a day (depending on it's age, if it's older it can be longer). Enroll in puppy school and socialize, socialize, socialize. Also make sure to keep her groomed regularly. Poodles are great dogs when well cared for and well trained (like any dog) but they are very smart and have minds of their own. My poodle is VERY bossy so she tries to get away with everything and she needs a really strong hand to keep her under control.
