Honestly, I would attribute it to pain and insecurity... Fozzie is super people and dog friendly but right before & after his surgery to remove a huge tumor in his armpit, he was a grouch. I think the fact that their legs are so short and they have a little bit of a napoleon complex makes leg/armpit injuries more bothersome.
I'd get good pain meds for her, lots of crate rest and TONS of yummy things to occupy her. Lots of raw bones, bully sticks, stuffed kongs, treat dispensing puzzle toys, etc. Fozzie gained like 5 lbs during his recovery because I just kept him happy with delicious snacks. But that's better than an angry short dog.
