Not really. Our courts deal with an imaginary concept every day . . . . they refer to it casually as "Justice."
Cutting. Sadly, however, it doesn't fly as "justice" is the imaginary concept at the heart of the justice system while "personal responsibility standard' is an imaginary concept thrown out by some guy from Alaska.

Blue your argument if you will makes as much sense as the argument that this family has the right to sue because their son did the wrong thing. I get it some never will . Rock on BROTHER.

Oh no he didn't *wags hand and snaps fingers* hehe

Yes.... this personal responsibility thing... what a load of hooey.... fi you screw up... BLAME SOMEONE ELSE BLAME SOMEONE ELSE BLAME SOMEONE ELSE.

Ok A chant is no fun on your own lol.

I dont see why it is too much to ask for people to be responsible for their own actions LOL.

that's why parents don't take responsibility for their kids.... it's someone else's fault. People don't pay the price for doing something stupid.... it's someone else's fault.

everyone's a victim ;)

Ugh. I avoided this because I knew it would make me mad. And it did.

I can only second everyone saying that people need to start growing brains and take responsibility for their actions. I mean, c'mon. You can't dry your cat in a microwave and you must not drink and drive. I just wish Hancock's Dad would gracefully mourn the stupidity of his son and apologize for his son's behavior and endangerment of the public instead of being such a greedy asshat. I hope what goes around will come around in this case.

Here is my reaction to this suit.........

And this will be my reaction if they actually prevail

I am more than sick of the criminals having more rights than the victims in this country!!

If this case isn't thrown out, I just don't know what to say. He wasn't wearing a seat belt, was drunk, and had mary jane sitting in the car with him. His reputation will go up in flames with this suit, he was clearly the negligent one here not some poor schmuck whose car stalled after being cut off from the road, and certainly not some good samaritan who stopped to help him. Furthermore, I'm sure plenty of other cars drove by that stalled car and didn't have a problem not hitting the tow truck. But then the drivers weren't drunk and on pot. Ludicrous.
