That's a really good point, zoom. It would be like me going into a "Who likes Japanese Metal" thread and saying, "I'm not into Japanese Metal Music". Of course the folks there will try to sway me to their evil ways and listen to it :)
Lmfao. I see your still on that. I found it funny that you decided to add fuel to the fire by looking it up and throwing your opinions around.

Why would you go into a thread that was obviously dedicated to the people who HAVE rescued, say that you saw no reason to ever get a rescue dog because they can't "do anything but be a pet" and then suddenly be perplexed as to why people had an issue with that statement? If you consider weight pull to be "work", then so is agility and some of the top dogs in that sport are rescue/pound dogs.

This board is a pretty even balance between rescue and ethical breeders, so there's no huge pressure to go either way. Many people here have a mix of rescue and breeder dogs at the same time.
That is good to know that some of the top dogs in agility are from the pound. I don't see pound dogs as worthless just not what I need at this time. I have spoken with some of you whom WEREN'T rude to me and I was actually going to make a trip to the pound today. As I said, it isn't what I am into but who knows what will be there.

I don't see Eddie's post as still being "on that". I see that statement as drawing a pertinent comparison in an attempt to make a point in such a way that the reasoning isn't lost on the intended recipient.

I agree. I don't like METAL bands and the one that was mentioned isn't metal, but nor do I like country, or rap.
Country and Rap I hold in the same opinion of japanese metal, LOL........just so everyone is clear.

Well, I guess there are a *few* rap songs I like, but they are mostly the fun, old school type like sir mixalot :rofl1:

Hey! I can use "pertinent" in a sentence. Do I get 50 points? How about if I use "impertinent"?

And by the way, it's NEVER too soon for LOL cats!
