Ok so I usually buy my lip balm from etsy these days as it's wonderful stuff. I can't use the Chap stick and blistex brands anymore.

well Im' out of etsy lip balm and waiting for more to arrive but in the meantime my lips were really dry (I lick them too much and I can't stop myself) so I happened to have a chap stick here on hand and used it... KNOWING what happens when I do.

Basically... it causes my lips to blister around the edges and it hurts.

so I need some good lip treatments to help with this. any ideas?

i cant use lip balm and that other stuff either. I find it does not help at all. So what I usually use and I find that it works wonders it lotion... I know weird. But it actually helps I use a non sented lotion like Jergens. Or any other good lotions would work.

Wow ... does it feel like an allergic reaction? If so maybe a little Benedryl cream if you have some available. If not maybe take a Benedryl tablet?

For dryness if you can't use Chapstick and similar stuff, try this ... wet a clean washcloth with warm water (don't wring it out too much), hold the warm wet washcloth on lips for a couple minutes, then rub olive oil on lips while they are still wet (seals in the moisture from the wet washcloth).

I can't use Chapstick either ... makes any dryness worse. But can use Blistex .. but only the Deep Renewal one that has CoQ10. I can't use Carmex either ... it has Salicylic Acid and for me it causes peeling.

.
it's not itchy or anything.

it feels more like... a burn almost. It's hard to describe.

but trying a little bendryl cream can't hurt :) I will try it

The olive oil is interesting too I think I will try that

Chewbecca... I think I'm going to order some of that :) Thanks

I also like both Burt's Bees and Carmex. I found Burt's Bees on sale for 50 cents last week, woo hoo! Carmex is fairly cheap and can be found pretty much anywhere.

I am so addicted to chapstick. I use it MANY times a day, and if I don't my lips start burning like crazy!

Yah I find that my lips get addicted to chap stick, but the chap stick does not do anything for my lips. After all this lip talk I had to go buy myself some Burt's bees and let me tell you my lips feel amazing lol
