Thanks guys!
Were home now and she is ok.
Was HORRIBLE,I've empathised hugely when I've heard about peoples dog's fighting/getting hurt but I don't think you can ever be prepared for that.
Basically we were walking in the park,Coco was off-leash and we were approaching a couple with two children and three dogs. One of the dogs was on a leash and two were running loose.I automatically asked Coco to heel as she can sometimes be reactive to children on scooters. As we approached the man called out to his dog "No...lillly stay back" I did'nt get anything from that though tbh and he didn't warn me. I continued walking and when I turn around the dog had her by the neck.I don't know how long it lasted but noone had a CLUE how to get the dog off coco, the man was pulling his dog and holding her up Coco was getting thrown all over the place,he almost had coco pinned down under his legs while he tried to pull. I have to at this point give kudos to the stranger who even attempted to put his finger up the dogs bum . But that didnt work. I don't know how but i think I got the dog off Coco I was trying so hard not to have a panic attack.
Anyway the wife told her husband to "LEAVE" the park and she walked me to her house,I managed to get my sister and mum to come over and then the lady drove me to her 24 hour vets with my sister. Luckily for me she was very helpful, she paid the £650 in full and arranged a taxi for me to go home in.Coco has been stitched up and given meds.
We are finally home tucked up safe.
Thanks for the vibes,if anyone has any advice as too what they would do next that would be great. I'm very worried she will now become fearful/aggressive with other dogs? Also am terrified of what could happen if the dog had been bigger,so what do I do?Stop walking her in the park/off-leash?

Fights are scary. If, God forbid, it ever happens again. Don't let the other person pull. It only makes the wounds on the victim worse. Have the other person choke the dog if they have the collar. No matter how determined the terrier they all let go as they pass out. Yes I know this from experience. The other is to try to hold the dog up off the ground by its front legs whilst someone tries to find something to use as a break stick if its a large dog.

I really hope Coco feels better soon and harbours no fear of strange dogs.

Thanks Dekka,I definitely will remember that. I just feel awful that I couldn't do anything about it whilst it was happening. Just terrifying.

As far as worrying about your dog becoming reactive, Kailey had a similar experience a while ago. It was a lot smaller, but her nose did get chomped. Anyway, I'd recommend just taking a clicker and treats on your walks for a bit and just clicking when she passes a dog with no negative reaction. Especially look for calming behaviors/happy ones, if that makes sense.
Good luck and I'm so sorry. That must have been a terrible experience. :(

Wow! I'm glad the woman was so helpful! Some people make the situation waaaay worse.

I would simply pick her up any time you see another dog.

I'm sending feel better vibes over! I'm also super happy for you that the lady was a decent person.

I know Yoshi got attacked at the dog wash. I know when I took her back the first time after it happened she was pretty nervous but the people knew what happened last time and gave us the very back area. Once she realized there wasn't other dogs there she was fine. Maybe find a way to ease her back into being ok with a larger dog with a friends dog that is safe?

Eek, vibes for Coco to heal fast and vibes for you that you can deal with it too. It was terrifying when Izzy got Tango in the face and I'll never forget it for the rest of my life. Hope she's good for you and takes her meds fine!
