Bully breeds all seem to be big snugglers. I know mine have to be touching me at all times, and if I sit or lie down there is a fight over who gets to be on top of me.

Wally was super snuggly. I think most Greys tend to be.

My Akita X and my Dutchie were NOT snuggly. Though they both wanted to keep an eye on me and were never more than a couple feet away, they had no interest in snuggling.

That's usually all of Dais that I can see, because she won't move far enough out of my range of vision. If you are stationary, she wants to be lying on top of you. That said, she's a wonderful sleeper - spoons like a person and doesn't shift around or wake up overnight lol. I've had bassets I didn't even know come up and do the "basset roll" at dog shows - they hop their little front legs into your lap, and then spin over so their side/shoulder/face what-have-you is resting on your knees/thighs.

IMO, they win the top cuddlers award.
The basset at the daycare is like that. As soon as you crouch down she is THERE on her back asking for tummy rubs. If I am standing up she will knock the back of my legs out trying to jump on me. I've gone down more than once that way :p

Dobermans are major snugglers. Most feel the need to be touching you, or at the very least, sitting beside you, at all times.

My Rottweilers were very snuggly as well. Almost as much as the Dobermans, but not quite.

Dance is not a snuggler at all. She will for a few minutes, but then she leaves. Most of the Tollers I know are similar, but I do know some who are pretty snuggly as well. With Dance, it's not really that she doesn't want to snuggle, but she gets hot quickly. She prefers to sprawl out on her back by herself somewhere.

Both of my Chows are quite snuggly:) As is Newt. Grimmy is too, but he's a generic brown dog and hard to replicate:)

Needless to say, Chihuahuas live to snuggle. They're the biggest snugglers ever. It's their most important job and they take it very seriously. LOL.
I agree... they are amazingly good snugglers :D

Rory on the otherhand will only snuggle occasionally. I think he gets overheated pretty easily, as he always chooses to lay on the floor rather than the bed or the couch.

My Pug was a super snuggler.

My terrier mix is not much of a snuggler. He seems to get too hot. He wants to be close but NOT touching......unless you will scratch his belly without ceasing. He also opts for hardwood floors or ceramic tile over the nice dog beds, dog blankets, and even our sofas and chairs, which is why I think it is a heat-factor.

Teagan my westie is an extreme snuggler. She always has be Touching me or at least beside me. In the morning she is the snuggle queen. As soon as she hears my alarm go off she knows its snuggle time and will nug her face under my chin and fall back to sleep for 15 more minutes. I love the dog.

The JRTs like to touch you, but other than Kat (and Scandal) most are not real snugglers. Kat (the same as Scandal... hmm I wonder if there is a snuggly gene as those two are related) is very into being on the human with her head pressed into my chest, or neck. Its pretty cute. If I wont' hold her then she wants to be 'squish' puppy behind me.

That's how Milo is...VERY affectionate, wants as much of him to be touching as much of you as possible at all times (he really only feels this way about me and my mom though, but he will also snuggle with Zach and my dad, just less often...he would never snuggle a non-family member).

Most JRTs I've known have been kind of lap-dog ish when things are quiet...they want to be right touching you when all is calm.

Murphy hates when I make him snuggle. The only time he wants to snuggle is if I have something he wants or if there is something in the general vicinity he wants. That said, he's usually fairly close to me, just not touching. Mu is fairly snuggly. She won't lay right on top of me but she likes to snuggle as close to me as possible at night and during winter time naps (especially if the heating blanket is present, she LOVES that thing). Tipper is probably the most cuddly one of the bunch. She's also the most relaxed about being picked up and carried around like a baby...lol. She does overheat really easy though so she usually bails after awhile.

So I guess to sum it up: BassetXBernese Mtn Dog != snuggly. HeelerXCorgi >= snuggly. :p

Frodo always wants to be touching me, but he doesn't like to snuggle. Just likes to be close, but if I try and snuggle with him he semi-screams and runs away :( lol

Italian Greyhounds

I've had lots of dogs, some lovey and some more independent. I think there can barely be an argument that little Itaian Greyhounds are the most snuggly breed. They like to bury under covers and are the best foot warmers you canfind. Their short coat means you can feel their body heat more than most dogs, which makes them great heating bads for belly aches too. My IG was so snuggly he was almost cat-like and he lived to 17 1/2.

Caleb is just so stinkin' cute <3 :D Looks like Harleigh trying to cuddle... I think what amazes me the most is how something so big can curl so small, haha!

Crested are massive snugglers. I joke that if mine could live IN my skin with me, they'd do it.
