He sounds like so much fun! Too bad he's not that good with other dogs. The energy though sounds just perfect.

^ He is beautiful!

Here are a few I've been looking at today.

Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Collie | Franklin, TN | PUPPY TORI

Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Franklin, TN | SHELLY

Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler | Nolensville, TN | Mini

Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler | Nashville, TN | Suki

Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Golden Retriever | Nashville, TN | Bear

Petfinder Adoptable Dog | American Eskimo Dog | Brentwood, TN | Sawyer

Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Miniature Pinscher | Nashville, TN | Fireball

I feel... a REAL connection with Fireball. I'm actually fighting back tears right now, because I highly doubt I'll be able to get him. And he's old, so he's less likely to be adopted. Something in his eyes just speaks to me, and I can't explain it! I really, truly want him. I'm going to ask my dad, but I know he wants a large breed as our next dog. It's worth a try though. Who knows, he may even be adopted by now, I mean LOOK at him! He's adorable!!!!!!!! That FACE! <3 And his personality is to a T exactly like Chloe's. It's crazy. I think he'd be the perfect fit for her, and for us. He's really tugging at my heartstrings. I can't stop looking at him!

ETA: Read his description, and showed his pictures to my mom and dad. I think my mom would take him in a heartbeat. :p All my dad said was "7? he's almost dead!" (jokingly, he knows that's not true :p) and then, "what kind of dog is that?". Nothing more. I guess we'll see? It's better than a flat "no".

Aww, keep trying! If he's worried about getting a big dog next, you can point out Fireball's "practically dead" anyway and wouldn't it be nice if he could live in a real home at the end? ;)

Thanks!!! I will. :)

And I did mention that, actually! :p Mentioned the fact that he's older, and that getting him would mean he'd be getting a good home for the rest of his days, but it won't be TOO long before we could get a big dog, anyway.

I really like him. Maybe love. Gahhhhhhhh.

Bumping this up to post this handsome dude!

Looking for the perfect agility partner? A hiking or running companion? A furry best friend? Check out Jasper on our "Adopt Me" page. This gorgeous boy came into rescue with a few challenges to overcome, but he's had a crash course in Doggie Socialization 101, passed with straight A's, and is ready to bond with his forever family. Jasper is a high energy, athletic, curious young dog who love, love, loves to learn new things. He's great with other dogs, but probably not quite ready for young children. If you might be right for him, contact Melinda at [email protected], with "NESR Jasper" in the subject line.
He's not on their website, so I don't know if that means he's been adopted already or if they just haven't added him.
