It is so liberating to think in terms of what I can do instead of what I should do. I am not seriously disabled, but I do have some issues/limitations, and up until now I've been fighting to hold myself to the same standards as everyone else. I think I'm finally coming to accept that it's okay to have limits and that I can still be successful even if I'm not living up to society's ideals/standards. Feels good.

Would you potentially be up for some company tomorrow evening? I work until like 7:30, but if you guys don't plan on turning in early, I would totally make the drive.
If you're heading up, I want to join!
We have a banquet tonight at 6pm (I believe) but it sounds like that should be all done by the time you'd get here! We won't be doing much other than playing with dogs and hanging out back at our campsite, but if you guys don't mind that and want to bring a dog for a little meet and greet fun, feel free! If it's raining I would probably say it'd be a waste of time- we'll be inside and there is no room for company in the camper. XD

Oh, and bring chairs if you come and want to sit at any point. :D you can pull right up to our campsite, if one of you wants to PM me, we can exchange numbers. (It's hard for me on my phone.)

And in the event nationals runs late, is cancelled, etc for rain and plans change, I will complain all about it here. ;)

Yeah I deal with that too, it's like a daily struggle to function in society because it's not not set up some someone like me ... my OH always wonders why I am so exausted all the time, because it's tiring trying to "force" conform :/

3 Day weekend has been very relaxing and fun-filled with laughs, movies, video games, and dogs. :D

And after some de-stressing, I am ready for another week of work. It was frustrating at first(like most training), but it is for a good cause and if you can be pushy with management about getting answers to your questions, it's rather fun. Not to mention the fantastic opportunity for a $3 pay increase by just going to a week-long class, getting paid for it, and nothing out of pocket. Getting a license will be nice. And who knows, maybe it WILL end up being a career choice for me. I don't have many bad things to say about working for the American Cancer Society. (I mean, who would?) And since I am working for other health or insurance related accounts through this company, the benefits are super nice. As in, I doubt I will miss TriCare at ALL sort of nice.

I'm in the healthcare field. Without having to be a nurse or a doctor. That's pretty much the dream for me.

So let's see....

I have a dream job, living in my dream area, with my dream dog, and my dream partner.

All that is left is the dream house and family. :D We're aiming for spring. ;)

Speaking of which, while making Saturday brunch, I cracked open ANOTHER double-yolk egg. That's the second time in a year. Obviously we're having twins. There's just no way around it. :rofl1:

Free 20 long from the curb.

Wire top, but looks like it had algae on it. Might have been a frog or turtle tank?

Move the betta in? Use it to help empty the 80 for a knifefish?

Its already in a 10 though....

One idea is to sell back the convicts, see if I can get the Salvini to live in the 20, and then do my Raphaels and loaches with a knifefish or elephant nose. Set it up so I can listen to the electrical discharges. Or mudskippers. Should be able to have 3-4 of the smallest species in a 20.

No eggs from the salvini in 4 years. Might break up the pair anyway and find a new male.

The intern at work, who's been here for a month, got me a bag of caramels and a Petsmart gift card for my birthday today. My friends and family don't even spoil me like that!

Applying for new jobs today.

Nervous as hell. I've only worked at one place before, for a few years now and I am scared of new things. But, money is good.

Seems like we're in the same boat! I've been at the same job for 7 years, now I am out here for the summer and my funds are dwindling.
Applied for 15 positions today, hopefully I hear back from at least one of them lol.

Best of luck!

Good luck tomorrow! I'm sure you'll do great! :)

I have one too but it's for Primerica which I'm pretty sure is a pyramid scheme, so it's more or less something to get me out of the house for an hour or so.

Love the quote and the traditional style tattoos. Very cool idea!
