you know not all females want to be alone... Twist (Dekka's mom) desperately tried to be with us when having her pups. It was much easier to simply sit beside her than have her pace and try to jump out.

Riley went early and sought out my son's bed. Ewwwwwww. (I guess she too wanted to be with people for the birth than by herself) It worked out well though. He came and told me (I never heard Riley leave)

I am watching the behavior of the mother. I Cant watch this anymore- I see so many signs of things and the woman are totally oblivious to things..

Mine never wanted to be alone .....besides with a large litter , it's safer to move the pups out of the way as they whelp . add : like what BM ???

The mothers behavior is telling me several things. First of all in tossing her head she is having low contractions- not enough to move a puppy yet. Excessive licking on one puppy can be several things- either that pup is not well or has not defecated and crying ( we cant hear) or mother is uncomfortable and since the one pup she is licking is nearest her face probably just energy. I have been watching it, no pup delivered yet, the females pant is getting more intense, licking her vulva area so obviously getting ready to push or was trying to push, as the ladies keep talking abut whatever. Lastly- when the female does lick, they leave the pups under her.
I have so much to say about this its not even funny. The top of which you let the mother rest inbetween pups. I was always there for my pups the whole time, but I let the mother rest. Not jabberling on about whatever- let her rest.. Jeeeeeeeeeeez. ( takes my atenol..)
AND she keeps taking the pups off the teat which stimulates contractions.. ...

Yea they did that right- when mom started pacing around the box they moved the pups..

yea I said I was turning this off but I am watching.. ( guilty..) Its a nice box but I would have a flip up lid in the front.. But it is nice.
"mom " continues licking her rear. Either retained placenta or here comes another one.. And good they are rotating blankets to keep the area clean.

Looks smaller to me too..
The 'mom" is tired.. She needs a cocktail. I use to use ground food, with raw egg and molassas.. And have not seen them offer her water yet either.

Dark one is not nursing.. They need to intervene. Or put on the front nipples.And she needs to stop giving abdominal compresses ...
